  1. Isn't JennR8R the one who ASKED to be banned (and got it)? That has to be a record, too, but I don't think she actually made anyone angry. She just wanted to be the bad girl! TPM Sister #102
  2. Congrats on getting your A license! That's terrific! What a great way to end your day. (And I don't want to know anything about any goats.) TPM Sister #102
  3. To some extent, "overcoming" adversity implies to me that you are better for it, otherwise you would have merely survived it. At the end of the day, I think it's what people choose to make of it. We have so many choices about the attitudes we hold that we also control a lot of outcomes, at least from an emotional perspective. It's not perfect and there are a lot of things we just can't control, but taking it head on and being positive about the situation seems to make people happier than choosing to play the role of a victim. 4. My husband left one at about that altitude in Eloy a few years ago. My sympathies! TPM Sister #102
  5. Congrats! The whole world looks a little different after that, doesn't it? TPM Sister #102
  6. YUM! Ice cream sandwiches AND bridge day coverage; now THAT would've been good! TPM Sister #102
  7. I once knew a lady who tried to experiment with lemon beet jello. Some experimentation should be . . . curtailed! So what if they weren't perfect cookies? You did it--together--and that's great. TPM Sister #102
  8. Texting, chatting and talking weren't MY issues, but yeah, those could definitely get in the way. Posting on dz.com, though, that's totally different! TPM Sister #102
  9. It's all that good prison food! TPM Sister #102
  10. Sheesh, Turtle, what are we supposed to do when you get all responsible and, I don't know, rational? I'm lethal in a kitchen. It's not an excuse, it's just true. Having a dad who could've taught me some of those skills would have been terrific! My mom tried, but I think I get my cooking DNA from her. TPM Sister #102
  11. You're either teaching her that . . . or that if you wait around, you'll find a man who can already cook! That's what I did. So far, so good! TPM Sister #102
  12. LOL! Guess you'd better start making room! TPM Sister #102
  13. Nice! It seems like it's harder and harder to find people who are more interested in helping out than in watching their backs. I don't advocate stupidity, but taking that kind of risk is so worth it! TPM Sister #102
  14. LOL! So are you posting on Craigslist or shopping there? TPM Sister #102
  15. Wow--voting is open for quite a long time! Just did it again.
  16. The good news seems to be that you're finding all the trouble spots on the front end and not after the horse has already left the barn! Good luck in getting everything back on track again. The tests and procedures certainly can't be any fun but they sound like they'll all pay off well in the end. I, on the other hand, am just feeling old! TPM Sister #102
  17. Life is just better when the boys are on the ice. I'm glad it's a ridiculously long season! TPM Sister #102
  18. Thanks for bumping this one back up again! I keep voting as well. TPM Sister #102
  19. I've just had the run-of-the-mill horrible hotels that weren't as clean or as new as you'd have liked, including one in Mexico that had mold growing on the shower handles. Eww. But one of the ones that stands out to me was a hotel I stayed at just across what would have been the border into East Germany. It was very austere and had red Russian stars everywhere. It was clean--VERY clean--but you definitely knew you were in a different world even if the wall had technically come down. TPM Sister #102
  20. I'm ready to get out of this office, too! No big plans, but it's like having spring fever!! TPM Sister #102
  21. Give it a try. I think Apple is usually pretty good about returns. If you could get something more in line with what you were mentally prepared to take home, you'll be a lot happier. TPM Sister #102
  22. I'm sorry you're having so many issues with it. My husband and I have had very different experiences with the iPad, but maybe our expectations were different, too. Are you expecting it to be more like a netbook? TPM Sister #102
  23. No, no . . . I prefer to think of it this way. Otherwise, I'd have to hurt him! TPM Sister #102
