I'm new, so excuse my ignorance, BUT, could you not have put your left toggle up and used your risers to steer/land the canopy? Chris -
How scared/nervous were you before your first jump...

My 2nd, and 3rd jump were bad... My 4th was not as bad, but I was thinking (in the plane) that "this is my last jump"!!!!!!!! This week can't pass quick enough at the moment, and I can't wait to get back up there for jump 5...! Blue SKies. -
I did my 4th jump today (dummy pull) and it went perfectly - even stood my landing Just thought I'd say I love skydiving - to any potential skydivers out there - go for it! It's the best thing you'll ever do. Been celebrating with Laphroaig (I'm Scottish!) -hence this drunken post - whilst watching the video recorded by my better half Jen from the ground! Blue Skies, one and all!!!!!!!! Peace Chris

Hi I was wondering if a good quality snowboard helmet would be ok for skydiving? I am looking to buy one for snowboarding and to save me money, use the same one for skydiving. Anyone know if this would be ok? Thanks

I think the tone above it a little harsh, mate. During debrief - I made clear I was confused by the pilot's actions, and was told that I had to make my own desicions up there - Which is fair. I saw no point in saying "what if..." - I knew the answer. Did u read this bit: THE LESSON: Despite being really confused, you gotta be positive at the door - despite what is going on. This is what I got from what happened. I generally wondered what more experienced people would have done. Thanks anyway. Edited - I wish I could spell! -

To be honest, it was all focused on the exit rather than what happened before it. I said I was confused - go or stay - but this was not discussed. I got the feeling that I had to do what I was told - eg go anyway... Chris
