  1. Hey everyone, Thanks for the feedback. It looks like skydive the point may be the first place to visit, It is within a couple of hours, depending on the traffic. I am hoping to make the rounds to a few though, It is cool to meet new people and visit new places, I am sure that I am not the only one that knows that that is one of the best things about this sport is the people. again Thanks everyone Still here after all these years Clayton
  2. Hello everyone. I have to go to maryland for a few months to do a job. I have never been there before and do not know the area. I will be staying in lexington park, which I believe is on the southern end of the state. Can anyone tell me where I will need to go to skydive that is within a reasonable drive. Both the drop zones I found there are strictly tandem spots, any info would be a great help. Thanks Still here after all these years Clayton
  3. cool. Will do. I had a great time sat while at spacland. Really cool people there. so I am looking forward to meeting some of the local swoopers there also. Still here after all these years Clayton

  5. I would like to try and show up and have some fun with you guys. I am an old gold coast swooper who has recently moved to the clear lake area. I am coming out to spaceland to jump this weekend and it will be my first visit back there in several years. It sounds like a lot of fun so I will try to be there. 7. Ok, For the many friends that I have met and known since I started skydiving, I want to announce that I am going to resume skydiving again.( I know I have made this promise or warning before ). This is my first post this year and I have not made a jump this year, I decided to take a break after seeing 2 many friends get hurt and I guess there were other reasons But for some reason I woke up one day and just did not want to skydive anymore, anyone that knows me would be the first to say that they would have probably picked me as the last person they knew that would ever quit skydiving, Well I did not quit, I just took a break from it for a while, I am back offshore working at the present and I plan on going to the dropzone the first weekend I am in and resume where I left off. anyway I figured I would give everyone fair warning. I also need to buy a weight belt since I am 40lbs lighter. The old Xaos might not know who is under it Hope to see all my friends up there soon. Still here after all these years Clayton
  8. I went with longer risers and I would not go back for nothing, They are the way to go.
  9. 1600 + jumps. currently flying a 104 & 120 Xaos, 270 to 360 front riser turn depending on canopy and altitude, exit weight 250 lbs. Never been injured, But have seen a lot of friends that have, Speaking from experience, It's not hard to get killed under highly loaded canopy's, you have to always watch what others are doing and always be ready for the unexpected, and must have a plan B and C if needed. NEVER THINK THAT YOU HAVE TO DO A HIGH PERFORMANCE LANDING, Every jump is different and you must evaluate what your going to do on every jump. Still here after all these years Clayton
