As you can see it is very important to research what you are interested in. I persdonaaly chose the VIGIL2 because of the 20 year lifespan as well as the multimode. The fact that the VIGIL was cheaper was never an option because they both are good products as well as what is offered EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Well Doug, you can only read so many books and honestly I just wanna see some videos of that which I love more than anything. are you kidding me I wish I could use you tube but any site that offers streaming videos or even downloads of videos or even if the site has iffy content it will be blocked by websense. I hate it but it just really sux. I have dealy with it for 10 months now and i am going stircrazy because there are rumors that my favorite website might get caught up and blocked by websense because there may be iffy content on the site EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Dude I understand that you are upset but honestly you can't just sue a company just because their customer service is bad. If that would be the case do you realize how many companies would be sued for bad customer service. Also you need to be pro active in the case of your stuff. If you want to find out about your equipment YOU need to find out. HELL, keep calling until you get an answer. That is what I would do EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Hello all, I noticed there is a long list of used containers and canopies that are offered up for sale but my question is How old should the canopy or container be before it is no longer airworthy. I mean I notine some containers are close to 20 years old but the owner says they only have a couple of hundred jumps on the original container. Now, just for argument sake lets say that the seller is telling the truth. What is the cut off age of equipment before it needs to be retired for good EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Well guys I had already planned on taking a canopy course but now after all this sound advice I had even more reason to take the course. If there is any info you can give me as far as the similarities and the diferences between the Navigator and the Sabre2 that would be great EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Pops, I know what you say is true and GOD how I would normally just blow you off and say what do you know but past experiences tellme that you are right. I have contacted my dealer to see if a 210 will fit in my container. Man, I know my head is saying that I should do what I want but my gut says you are right and when it has to deal with skydiving decisions I always go with my gut. I hate when I am wrong but there is nothing I can do. Thanks for the advice and TRUST me I also want to become and old jumper EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Well, I have done the research and I believe that I will be fine and I know my limitations and I will be well within W/L guidelines by the time I jump my gear. If I did not think I would be able to fly it safely I would not have purchased it. I don't plan on jumping it right away. I mean when I return there will be alot of PPL wanting to get there gear inspected and they said I will have a good month wait because of all the gear they will have to check. So I will have plenty of time to try out a Sabre2 210 to see how it goes and get current again and then when my gear is ready I believe that I will be good to go. Anyway the worse thing that can happen is that I will have to jump rented gear for a little bit longer. The way I see it is that my safety is worth it EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Hey Gravity, All of us can give sound advice that will hold true for the most part. But, The PPL that will be able to help you the most will be the instructors that know how you fly, how good you land and what they believe is good. But honestly, and of the newer stuff that was made after say 2000 is good to go. I mean everyone has their preferences and they will tell you what THEY like. But, in the end you need to go with your gut EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
