  1. Well guys, I may not be able to enjoy a frosty brew right now but in about 10 days I will be home on R&R from Afghanistan and will open up a nice bottle of Newcastle and thoroughly enjoy it EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  2. Hey man, Skydive Atlanta always has a big boogie for Halloween evry year. You should check out there website EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  3. Hey all, I am just as saddened as everyone else. I enjoyed my short time there but as they say All god things must come to an end. Luckily, we all live in an area of the US where there are alot of DZ's around. I will miss jumpin the CASA but I will not really miss the long layover's between each load. My DZ has always been Raeford but I just loved CSS and the layed back feeling of the place. But look at the bright side of things Raeford is only a couple of hours from CSS and for some people it is closer. Like me now I only have to drive 20 minutes to Raeford and jump. I just wonder what the instructors are going to do now that they have closed EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  4. me personally I just sold an old canopy of mine to a guy that lives in California. I was a little worried that the info he had given me was fake. So all I did was call the DZ he said he jumped at and asked for the person he said was the rigger and come to find out he was telling the truth. When I mailed the canopy I used UPS and insured it for the price of the canopy which does not cost that much. HE tried the canopy and liked it so he mailed me a cashier's check. But you have to remember that not everyone is who they say they are but some PPL on DZ.com actually just wanna buy some gear EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  5. I guess it is a little bit of both. EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  6. Pilotdave, I am an avid supporter for the VIGIL II but I also like the CYPRES2 as well. Although I myself have a VIGIL II whenever anyone asks me which one is better than the other I always answer that neither is superior over the other. They both have their pluses as well as their negatives. It also sickens me that someone can so blindly believe in a single product even though they have never done any kind of research and solely make their opinion based on other peoples opinions EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  7. Erdnarob, you definitely know your stuff and I bow down to you with your worldly wisdom. EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  8. Dave, All I gotta say is that I am pretty sure that Airtec had plenty of misfires in the air, under canopy as well as on the ground that they never let the public know about. I am not saying that they did but if you look throughout the history of businesses there were plenty of companies that never released all the information about what had happened during the beginning stages of their products when they released them. Airtec has more reliability due to the fact that they have been on the market the longest that is all. Both companies have had legitimate saves but they have also both had misfire and continue to do so. I mean Airtec just had a recall on some of their models. IMHO both are credible companies so it ultimately falls down to personal choice and what you are looking for. But in the end both of them are still peices of electronic equipment and are capable of failing at a moments notice. So ultimately it falls down to this simple saying. CAVEAT EMPTOR- Let the Buyer Beware EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  9. It all falls down to this. Research both types and read all the good and bad reviews on both. Then when you get sick enough of all the reading then make your choice. That's what I did and ultimately went with a VIGIL II EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  10. Dude, Stop crying like a little girl and take a inute to realize that it is YOUR money that you are spending. I spent six months shopping before I even decided who I was gonna buy from. I mean this stuff IS very expensive and if someone gets their butt hurt because you asked them questions then just move on to someone else. If you decide to go with the lowest bidder you are still getting the same product as if you bought it from the person who was more expensive EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  11. My Master Rigger once told me that the force it would take to break the link would snap your neck before it would break. But that is what I was told EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  12. This will be my first Couch Freaks and I plan on being there on Wednesday for registration. I am taking off time from work just to jump my ass off. I may be broke after this boogie EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  13. I gotta agree with Mouth the whole Boogie rocked the house but the FILM festival sure was a blast. I am still a little upset that I did not get the BOAT. Well there is always next year. EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  14. Shiite, go ahead and say that Saturday will kick ass. I just hope that friday will be a good day for jumping as well. Well, it is now Friday morning and I need to get my ass in gear and get some breakfast and then off to the DZ. See y'all there Freak out EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
  15. Why would you not want to pack for yourself. I mean it will be quicker than waiting for a packer. But anyway I will see y'all on Friday morning EXPECT THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!
