  1. Hi, I was a USPA Skydiving Instructor with All Five Instructional Ratings which can be earned in the United States Parachute Association (USPA), before a skydiving accident in 2016 left me paralyzed below the waist as a result of a broken spine. After six and a half years of physical, psychological, emotional and economic struggle, I overcame all challenges to return to skydiving. At present, I am training to earn my USPA Instructional ratings back. Along with a group of like-minded disabled skydivers from all over the world, we have formed the World Association of Skydivers with Disabilities (WASD). Besides other Objectives, we are working towards a World Record of "The Largest free-fall formation of skydivers with disabilities," which will be created in Thailand on December 3, 2023 which is the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PwD's). The World Record will be ratified by FAI and Guinness World Records. We are trying to identify and contact all skydivers with disabilities worldwide to invite them to participate in the WASD World Record event. We are working towards taking care of all expenses of the selected participants (Air tickets, accommodation, transport etc.), to facilitate and encourage their participation. I request you to let us know the names and contact details of such skydivers that you know of, or alternatively, ask them to get in touch with us at - [email protected] With warm regards, Pradeep Rao for Team WASD ps - our website - www.wasd.world is being revamped, though one can view content there.
