  1. i'm to lazy a typer to list them all but it's 21 dropzones 3 continents 6 countries and 5 US states. and counting (well i wasn't as it took me 15 minutes to remember them all but now i know
  2. atleast theres time to check out the chicks
  3. had mine stolen along with the car last november. didn't cry, just imagined all the different ways i could torture the bastards who took it with just a biro and a paperclip (not why them but there you go) fortunatly i mostly jump at one place and when i have been at other dz's its been with mates so was able to recreate the log from my home dz's master log books and my mates who i jump abroad with. and i had endorced by my cci incase anyone asked why most of the jumps have no details. and no it never leaves my side now unless its in a locked house or i'm jumping!
  4. yep he did have a mental problem but after a lot of work he's as sane as he ever used to be. these things aren't "cured" but he has dealt with it. met him when he was piloting an islander my drop zone hired in a few times over the summer.
  5. have read the same book and actually know the guy that wrote it. its a true story and the guy still jumps. good bloke and he has some amazing stories. he also has the greatest respect for kittinger and thats coming from a guy who has done/comr through some amazing stuff in his life both forces, skydiving and personally. that is one cool dude.

    langer.

to all those who there this weekend i'm SO SORRY but i can't make it. WORK SUCKS. next time i'm up that way will probably be end of august and yes i am already counting the days, or i will be when it gets down to a number i can count on my hands and feet!! don't worry remi the dark side won't suduce me, i want to get good at belly first and fly out that 10 way. then i'll think about bed hopping. as for large dz's to small then i tend to agree with rob, i started at a small dz and as a student i recieved shed loads of advice and extra tutition. cant really comment on to many big dzs as i haven't been on to many but i imagine they are slightly more impersonal when you have say 15 or so students in the program as aposed to 2 or 3 at any one time. just my opinion. jeff.

i've lurked here for a while and just thought i'd let you all (especially the langer boys and girls) know that having visited for the weekend that dz ROCKS big style. the people are excellent, the planes fast and the bars open as long as you can stand ( at least one night i could'nt). also a big thank you to remi and karen who are 2 great people and who were on my first (beer) 8 way. thanks for letting me crash your jumps and not to mention th use of the packing mat, oh mighty packing mat god. i oh you a beer for that next time i'm up. sorry i missed the other langer jumpers from here but maybe next time. jeff. p.s. remi i hope you and karen enjoy lappalise and turn some cool dives.
  8. cocrats dude. now get of that pc and back in the air damn it. enjoy! jeff
  9. bristol uni jump at netheravon, uwe jump at weston, near oxford, and i personaly jump normaly at dunkerswell. i like the place although it is small in comparosion to nethers. i would recomed it but i will say check out the others to, phone the cci's and maybe visit them all and then decide.
  10. i'm no expert but i don't think so. i believe that they just have BIG ass pilot chutes and make sure that they don't use any remotely tired stuff.
  11. cool, wish i'd had exams like that. what subject? what was the Q? jeff
  12. from what i understand the bond people applied for permission to base the tower but were refused on the grounds that it was to dangerous. A brit guy then did it without permission and had the press waiting ( yes he did make good money out of it). after that the french authoriteies changed there minds and let the movie people do it too. i know a couple guys in to base them selfs who did it last christmas ish, and apparently its being done quite a regular basis. jeff
  13. mcordia, the distance traveled in freefall record curently stands at 10ish miles. i think. it could be km but i think its miles.
  14. i'm not scared at all really on comercial flights though i've yet to have a bad experience on one so that might change yet! in the jump plane i'm only a bit nervous on take until about 1500ft when i know i can get out and survive, though this is depentant on the pilot, some of our pilots are truely excellent and i love it when they throw the plane about and spice upthe ride. jeff
  15. zennie i virtually garantee someone will land a wingsuit with in my life time. i know that jari and adrian are both working on the idea and i believe that the latest version of the birdman suit, the skyflyer has been tracked with a vertical speed of just 18mph, which is BLOODY slow. i also heard about a month back that apparently the skyflyer and the VX46 have been flown side by side for a short period, only a few seconds but it was apparently a totally controlled thing. Now thats would make for some awesome footage! jeff
