  1. yea unfortunately we had to stow the cargo rig up the horses ass. theonlyski was right though. Getting that equine out the door was real trick. As for the falcon......hell I dont know where he came from. He wasnt part of our jump. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  2. are you saying this isnt a real zoo dive either I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  3. wow! nothing gets past you inspector Holmes are you sure its a fake? I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  4. siamese twins tandem I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  5. I hope that if I ever misroute my chest strap I fall out and die. I appreciate your commitment to self discipline I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  6. i'm sorry, do you have any input relative to the topic? what exactly do think was stupid about my post? Did I say something that you dont believe to be true? Please elaborate. Do you have an opinion or did you just get on here to blast filthy language and PA's? I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  7. remember the guy that forgot his leg straps was suffering from task overload. You are familiar with this as a diver. this guy had a bunch of new equipment and new techniques he was burdened with. He was so consumed with the new that he took the old and seemingly obvious for granted. That is normal for any new experience. You will never do away with mistakes caused by the pressure and stress of task overloading. And I wouldnt worry about this becoming a common thing. I believe it will remain very isolated and a minute contributer to the fataity reports. A thread about whether people step into leg straps or stretch to put them on is just about the most non informative thread i have ever seen. Why not ask if people zip their jumpsuit before they board the plane or just before they jump? I'm sure the responses would be riveting wow i'm editing this now to just say ditto to DSE's post. It wasnt there when I was typing this. I cant believe I agree with DSE I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  8. I understand with your background in donning compicated gear, dealing with stress, task overloading, and the other finer details that come with commercial diving, that you would feel very confident with the simplicity of putting on a rig. well you should be....... a moron with no training could put one on. regardless, the chest strap thing happens quite often. Lots of people get so comfortable with thier gear that they thread the chest strap without looking at it. You could mess up doing that. Now I dont doubt with your experience and discipline in gear checks that you will never misroute it. that is as long you dont get complacent because it seems so simple. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  9. I know you are joking about that last line but i'm afraid its where this sport is going. It seems people dont like the responsibility of making thier own decisions. Freedom means they would have to think for themselves......god knows we wouldnt want that. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  10. Not everyone who died in 2008 died because they made a mistake. Sometimes accidents just happen, even to highly intelligent, well-trained, safety-conscious people. you are right. not all made mistakes, I didnt mean that line as literal as you took it. it was more to support a point. But fasted is right as well most of them did make mistakes, just as any of us could. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  11. god you are so right! what was i thinking! I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  12. its because we are aliens. Diplomatic immunity. now GFY I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  13. I certainly hope you arent crying for us to be regulated more. Thats exactly whats wrong with people now days. People want to skydive but dont want to accept the reality that it is dangerous. Maybe if dumb skydivers would stop telling newbies and whuffos how safe it is then the overal attitude would change for the better. People dont respect this activity enough. I hear ignorant skydivers all the time telling people how safe it is. Maybe you want to believe that but its not true. Then when someone starts skydiving they dont have a respect for it like they should. The more they jump the more comfortable they become with that idea. Then when someone dies they freak out and ask "what happened?" Well skydiving happened! SURPRISE! its dangerous! No matter what you have fooled yourself into believing. How many people have you seen quit the sport when they see someone die? Why do you think that is? Because they had a false sense of security. Because everyone telling them that they will be fine and skydiving isnt that dangerous. The simple fact that someone started this thread and asked the question is proof enough. Why would someone ask "how safe was the 2008 season?" Mine wasnt safe at all. I was skydiving. I didnt die. I tried to use common sense. But I also made some mistakes. What do you really want to know? Should the title of this have been "how dangerous was the 2008 season?". I would say about 30 mistakes dangerous. Just think about it. I ask again what is an acceptable number of fatalities? Skydiving is not safe! bottom line! It just seems ridiculous to me for someone to have the attitude that skydiving should be safe. You are jumping out of a airplane! Educating is fine but regulating is what communist do. If you cant accept the risk then dont whine to someone else to make it safe for you. You should quit. Also just to add. Considering the sports size, 30 fatalities is pretty remarkable and is as someone pointed out right on average. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  14. your lack of ability to see my point in that and be so quick to make such a assessment of my post proves you are only capable of thinking in one dimension. What are your thoughts on fatalities in skydiving? And what is a acceptable number or should I say the correct number of fatalities each year? who is the fucking idiot that thinks they can or should dictate that? I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  15. you are 100 percent correct. except the last paragraph. People will always find ways to kill themselves in this sport. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  16. yea thanks for that but theonlyski isnt jumping at a multi plane DZ. If he were to visit one and there was a maximum opening requirement it should be made known by the DZ or organizer on the plane. I was just saying where he jumps its acceptable and doesnt normally need special consideration in exit order. but you are right in specific situations it needs to be considered I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  17. Thats your opinion but I think this thread is in poor taste. Seriously are we this vain and arrogant. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  18. bingo! I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  19. I would jump that bad boy. If you go in, with a no pull we will all learn something and replace our slightly bent pins. I once used a piece of coat hanger for a reserve pin. that thing bent all the time. I would just bend it back straight. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  20. hell yea! either skydiving is getting more dangerous or more jumps were made. Either way is fine with me. All those tandems that whacked in didnt help the number stay low. A tandem is often two fatalities for the price of one. Had quite a few no pulls and terminal impacts this year too. At least the extra fatalities were in dramatic fasion. Thats Style points for the 2008 fatalities. 2009 has started with a bang too. Already some one fell out of a rig. Style points!Thats going to be hard to beat. Oh well I guess thats why skydiving is cool. Lets be honest if it were safe it would be nothing more than a game of checkers, you wouldnt brag to your friends about it, your family wouldnt think you were the "wild"one, and guys wouldnt be able to use it to pick up girls. Now ask yourself. "Do I want to live in a world where skydiving is safe?" or do you want to say " thirty dudes whacked in skydiving this year and I wasnt one of them"? And hey if you are one of them, then you didnt die for nothing. You helped carry on the tradition of skydiving being dangerous and badass. Therefore making the rest of us look awesome. Rest in peace knowing that some guy is getting sweet loving because of your sacrifice. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  21. if proper seperation is given and people are taught not to track up and down jump run that wouldnt be a problem either. the key is someone with experience organizing on the plane. then the real key is everybody doing what they are suppose to including staying aware. Which will never happen someone is always doing something that wasnt mentioned or was made up on the fly. (no pun intended) I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  22. look at you giving advice blindly to someone with 33 jumps At the DZ he jumps at 5000 ft opens are pretty sandard across the board. He doesnt need to be getting out right before tandems on every load. Its rare he would need to do that. Most of our freeflyers are opening around 5000 to 5500 as well. Our jumpers and instructors on the load typically communicate well with whos doing what. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
  23. The gay website is hillarious. Its been around for years (just like jumpdudes mom). It was made as a joke an is a fine example of the way we make fun of each other and have a good time. I would have to say it is exactly why Clarksville and ASC DZ's are such happy places to skydive. Thanks for pointing that out Jeff. Also thanks for making yourself look like a complete tool for being a dumb little punk to one of our fine military representatives over a joke web site. I especially love the part where you are going to tell his CO. Hey why dont you tell his mommy too while you are at it. I'm sure his CO would give a flying fuck what you have to say. The way you search the net for ASC and skyride propaganda, between your world of warcraft game and your beastiality porn, is quite pathetic. The only thing more pathetic(besides your genetics) is the way you get on here and try to call people into arguing with you. Your post has barely been up a day and you are whining like a school boy bitch "where are all the slyride supporters" "lone ranger" and blah blah blah. Well here is the answer. Most of us dont watch this site 24 hrs a day. Also we usually ignore post like that because its obvious you just want a response. So the best way to piss you off is to ignore it. Robert, (aka: theonlyski) is a grown ass man and doesnt need yours and billys guidance to make decisions. I mean lets be honest, if your life and your success is a reflection of the standard in decision making........ then God knows I want to be wrong! Why dont you ask robert how many times he has been ripped off at our DZ. Ask him how many other people he has seen ripped off. Ask him how many people he has seen intentionally fucked over. Ask him how many "sharks" work at that DZ. Robert hangs out with us and is accepted at our DZ as much as someone with 10,000 jumps. Jeff, If you think you are going to be some moral missionary, or some kind of false principle prophet and steer some jumper away from his friends and his home DZ, well......................you obviously have a inflated sense of persuasion and dont understand anything about loyalty or friendship. Which doesnt surprise me. I would be shocked if a rat like you had any friends at all. So you wanted to know where all the "slyride" supporters are? Now you know where all the Clarksville supporters are! So before you start educating people on skydiving and DZ politics maybe you should support skydiving by joining the USPA and actually jumping. Before you start calling people out on a internet forum and trying to put them down maybe you should educate yourself in a book or a school, Because the 3 "supporters" on here have more education and teeth than your entire family tree................Now sir you have been officially "fucked" by a shark. Have a nice day robert stay safe but keep the safety off. I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll burn your fucking packing tent down.
