    Skydive Miami

Skydive Miami is my home dropzone and I've been jumping there since my first tandem in 2001. They have a very professional and friendly atmosphere and welcome everyone to enjoy all aspects of the skydiving experience, from first timers and the people who've yet to jump, to experienced jumpers with a passion for the sport. Their jumping staff is second to none. They all have tons of experience and are always available to those who have questions or are in need of a little guidance. Their ground crew seems extremely knowledgable and dedicated to their duties and are always available. They have excellent packers/riggers and areas available to pack yourself if you prefer. I highly reccomend Skydive Miami to anyone who is even remotely in the area if they're looking for a nice day of skydiving. I've heard it called the "safe" dropzone, as if it's a bad thing, but in all honestly I feel that their concerns for the safety of all involved in their program is a big part of their appeal to first time and learning skydivers. Yes, they're primarily a tandem/student factory, but someone's got to do it, otherwise where would new skydivers come from? A few things it might be missing to appeal to more fun jumpers might be a campsite, a resteraunt, and a beer light, but all of those things can be found close enough to the dz if you really need one. Their plane is a very well maintained Caravan that seats 15, and with a high volume of students/tandems you may find yourself searching for a slot, but with a little patience you can work with the staff to organize any kind of jump you want, just need enough fun jumpers to get the plane moving. Fuel ain't free. Anyway, I heart Skydive Miami. Hi, fred!
