What about the 22 lbs on the reserve handle with cones?, or with a bulky packjob?, service bulletins on cones? More easy to bent pines?, prevent premature openings for loop failure in large troop military jumps?

    Service life

Recomended manufacturer service life. UPT Vector - doesnt have recomended SL Javelin - doesnt have Aerodyne - 13 years from DOm PD reserves - 40 packjobs, 10 openings Strong DHT 18 years from DOM or indefinied the new ones Other manufacturer examples ?... Any advice will be apreciate After that if the rig still in very good shape, do you riggers still packing those, in the packing card do you put any "on condition" or similar like porosity and TS108
  18. The Line over release toggle used in BASE jumping was a Mark Hewitt idea after hit a building with a line over, was research and develop by Marta Empinotti, Jimmy Pouchert and Todd Shoebottam. Probably one of the first models of MARDS or Skyhook was also invented by Mark Hewitt, used and tested on the Sorcerer BASE container, a system to deploy a reserve using the main like PC. May be Im wrong, let me know Nicolas Lopez Aerorigging
  19. I just pack a PR 160, comes with number 4 links stainless steel, wichard, safe working load 621 lbs x 4 = 2484 lbs, this reserve can handle some forces more than 3000 during TSO tests???, so my question is how much is the maximum load that #4 links resist before fail, also PD uses in some models ( like the reserve manual said) #5 links, 990 lbs safe working load.
  20. Then you might need two altimeters, two AADs, two helmets, two audibles, two mains, etc. Also today most of the accidents are under beautyfull fully inflated canopys ..... Keep it simple!, the parachute for idiots is not ready yet, I heard this one time from Bill Both mouth. Keep jumping and you will understand soon why a second reserve is not an option..
  21. Tanks Terry for your info, do you have more specif about the Strong machine , I would like to know if that kind of aparatus with aaltimeter can meet the 125 Pascales or .5 inch of water differential, I think the regular altimeter are not the right tool to meet that. Im building one more similar to the Frazier one Tanks
  22. Hello I want some feedback on this, Im working on a very portable ( lets say a pelican case 1500) permeability machine to measure in betwen 0/30 CFM (cubic feet minute) on reserves, the final cost I think probably will be something similar to one AAD (uss1500), how many rigging lofts or riggers will be interested to get one? The comercial Brands are huge, heavy and expensive (9k uss) Tanks a lot
  23. New young dropzone in a very beautyfull scenario, I was able to do 4 jumps to 13000 ft during the weekend, the bar resto is amazing, the rigging loft very pro and with a FAA Master Rigger, small towm, and the paragliding takeoff 30 min away from the DZ The Red Bull Grand Caravan is just a dream, new airplane, full skydiving kits, You will love this paradise
  24. Two things: 1- Horseshoe malfunction, very easy to solve if you use the PC packing Brian Germain method that permits PC goes out alone. 2- You guys..., Give some credit to Mark Hewitt, I think he was who real invent the MARD or Skyhook concept on his system Sorcerer (BASE equipment), no Mr. Booth
  25. Hello, I like to know if anyone have some experience on a 7-34 Im always hear about 7-31 & 7-33 but no 34, looks the same Tanks a lot
