Apparantly I lent my copy out for a little too long!!"The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

It will never replace your instructors, but A Canopy and its Pilot is an excellent book about canopy flight."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

I am a youngster so don't look at me. I got whuppings from my parents. And my coaches at school had permission in written form to kick my ass if I was out of line.
I blaim all of you 40-60 year old ex hippies."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

I highly recommend a bridle with a kill line window. Especially if you have ADD like me."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Bullshit, no you don't.
You would suck if you pushed your comfort level and god forbid had to chase your kids around on crutches for the next month.
You did the right thing not to push your limits, especially being uncurrent."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

It looks like his site is down, is that link correct?"The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

QuoteI do not fear flights or hights but I certainly do fear death like any normal person does...
I don't dear heights, I fear the sudden stop and splat at the end of the fall.
A lot of those questions would be best anwsered by the dropzone you intend to go to. They can tell you all about the skydive, the risks involved, and the saftey precautions that are taken to help mitigate those risks. They should be willing to to discuss any accidents that they have had, and explain what they learned or changed as a result.
Try to keep in mind that this isn't jogging..."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

It was already mentioned, but it is nice when the mud flaps are setup with snaps for adding hook knifes. I love the built in one on my Icon."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Ever thought about the possibility that in certain circumstances the mere "making a second pass" could be sacrificing safety?
Ok, so if the uppers are cranking at 40mph, and giving the proper delay between groups means that half the otter load lands off field in an area with poor outs we should ............ Fill in the blank for me please, because I think it is better to give proper seperation.
In my way way limited experince the only time some one was yelling at me to get out of the door, they wanted me to get out too early for what the conditions warranted. I also tend to see my fellow newly licensed jumpers leaving too fast, not too slow, so I doubt this guy was taking 30 seconds in the door."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Tell them to fuck off!
Better to have a second pass than to sacrifice saftey!!!
This is assuming that you aren't taking too long. This weekend we needed at least 10 seconds for saftey. So did you really need to wait that long?"The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Roger are you responding directly to me? I know the sport is dangerous! I know and accept I might go in, or one of my close friends might go in! Thats why I think the statistics talk all the time is pointless!"The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Just copy and paste how you just described it? Or are you lacking space?"The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

I was tossing around the idea of cooking turducken... if I can convince the butcher to debone the chicken, duck, and turkey for me. if I have to do it myself it isn't going to happen."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Skydiving is safer statistically, than me jumping out of the plane with out a chute.
Statistics don't mean anything, don't fawk up."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Are there any good videos of a pyscho pack out there. The only thing I could find on sdmovies was pretty small and hard to see."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Tracking closer to someone else so you don't track up line of flight is a dangerous thing to do.
I agree totally, and I can see where that doesn't seem to jive with what I was typing.
When I am doing rw I track 180 from the other person allways (or what ever is appropriate considering group size). We are breaking low, and I don't think that I am tracking long enough for jump run to be a concern. Of course that is with assuming that the group behind me gave us good seperation.
It sounded like the guy who was giving him shiet was just doing a solo.
Thanks for clarifying what I should have Billvon."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

I already brought one of my best friends into the sport this year, and he promptly flew into a fence.
This year I think I am going take a rest at recruiting."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

He has a point, plan the dive and dive the plan, but I think that there is also something wrong with this statement as well. You didn't dive the plan by choice, what if you had a malfunction that had you opening lower instead. Is he going to bitch at you for having a cutaway and ending up where he was tracking.
I don't track up jump run and under the tandems just because I 'know they are pulling at 5.5k'. It is skydiving and shit happens. People pull sooner then they planned, people have malfunctions, and people do stupid shit.
Instead of counting on others to pull exactly when they said I give proper seperation at the door, and don't track up jump run."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"
=P -
Please don't call me sir.
I just didn't want to seem like I am bitching about sending tandems out at 6k if they are told that upfront, and I wanted to know if you knew something that I didn't so I didn't end up with my foot in my mouth."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

The other posts refrence different specific dropzone, and I wasn't refering to them at all. I was refering to the first post in this thread. So you are saying that the original poster was wrong.
I am fine with that."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall"

Exit Delay, stop pushing me
in Safety and Training
Your right, less ground speed, which is part of the reason why we have to leave more time for proper seperation.
That still supports the case that if the uppers call for 14 seconds people shouldn't be screaming at you for counting past eight.
I am confident in my accuracy, so I have confidence landing off field. I fly belly in groups so I am some of the first out the door, I am not asking for the go around. You can't fault me for giving the proper delay determined by the staff and conditions. If I take too long in the door I can be corrected on the ground, if I take to little time in the door I might hit and kill some one or myself, and the learning would then cease. For the record I have yet to be told I am taking to long in the door.
I don't think I am taking the wrong, or unsafe stance, but this thread definetly has a had a lot of great info in it!!!
