  1. Scott was such an awesome person and dear friend. You could always count on his smiling face greeting you as you prepared to board the otter! I gave him massages sometimes at the end of the day after he worked his butt off...and scott actually went to massage therapy school as well, so he gave awesome massages in return! He was such a kind soul and geniune person. Sittin by the pond havin a beer and listenin to music at the end of the day with felix wont be the same without you buddy! Blue skies scott...Miss and love you lots! -kari
  2. Well they must not give their tandem students altimeters then. I mean if they advertise 13,000 AGL and you look at your altimeter and it says 6K and you're out the door......That is just wrongggg! My only time of being at total peace is when im in freefall and flying my canopy safely to the ground! Skydiving has honestly and truly saved my life!
  3. Just glad you got back in the air afterall! It has been a couple of weeks since I last jumped and im very anxious to go this weekend hopefully if the weather holds up, but i know I will be a little more nervous than usual with it being a while since my last one. It's kinda like learning to walk all over again....I get nervous on the ride up, feeling just like I did when i was a terrified student but it's all good once i get out the door, then it's just an awesome ride! 4. Yeah, congrats on handling the mal so well! A friend of mine still in AFF (with 4 jumps total) had a cut away a while back and she handled it like a pro. When she got down she said it helped her confidence levels a ton! I would never wish to have a mal, but I can imagine it does help when you know you can handle the situation!
  5. Yeah, I know the feeling of being unable to relax in freefall...I think everyone has been there...if not...they're not normal! haha! Anyways Im new to the sport too...I have 21 jumps and plan on finishing the student program this weekend....Im so incredibly exicted! I started off pretty bad in freefall, landings, and everything but like you said about my 10th jump something just clicked and I learned to relax and take in the view and it's been incredible ever since! Well it's always been incredible but it's so much more fun when you can relax and really really enjoy freefall and when you start doing barrell rolls...(those are my fav.) Good luck fellow skydiver My only time of being at total peace is when im in freefall and flying my canopy safely to the ground! Skydiving has honestly and truly saved my life!
