  1. Were you able to get them working yet? I checked them in Firefox and Safari Gravity Waits for No One.
  2. Hmm, might want to try it again... I just tried both links and they work fine. I was able to get them to load up on both my desktop and phone. Gravity Waits for No One.
  3. Oooh - I missed the implantation part - I thought it was diagnostic equipment.
  4. Right - sounds great - would it be easier to print on appliances though? Lasermarking is gonna be problematic with the whole lightning bolt design in general... For example, there's situations where we'd want to lasersmark the logo where it would only be 1/8in diameter... The bolt just isn't going to show up reliably. Gravity Waits for No One.
  5. Ahhh, I get it. Yeah, I like it. Or maybe break up the text in "Spark" with the lightning? Gravity Waits for No One.
  6. Is it possible to - I know it is, but is it reasonable to have that as a background and subdued to about 50% Have the entire "lightning ball" logo subdued and behind the text? Gravity Waits for No One.
  7. Thanks! I kinda like that one too. I'm a little worried that it doesn't look unique enough from a quick glance... And lasermarking fine detail on medical instruments could be problematic... But from the voting results, it's obviously one we need to consider as a strong contender. Thanks for the vote! Gravity Waits for No One.
  8. Sometimes medical equipment is prescribed too, so I was just thinking of random stuff associated with the medical field. Not sure what kind of instruments you design. =) Best of luck! Very good point. For the most part we've been designing implants like hips, knees, spinal, etc and the surgical instruments that are used to install them into the patient. However, we've also worked on a multitude of other medical products from in-bed urinals to operating room equipment. We're open to working on essentially any medical product idea someone brings to us, as long as the idea seems feasible from engineering and marketing standpoints. Gravity Waits for No One.
  9. I agree about the first letter not being lower-case too. I also agree about the light bulb being cliche... It wasn't one of my top choices either. I like your idea of wrapping lightning around the caduceus, I'll talk with our designer about that. The other ideas you had were pretty cool too, but we design medical instruments and the like, not pharmaceuticals, so those would be a bit too misrepresentative for us I think. Thanks a lot for the awesome ideas!!! Gravity Waits for No One.
  10. Thanks! I really like the way that looks. However, the big problem with that logo is that it's widely used in medicine. We need a unique logo that someone would be able to see without our company name next to it and know who we are. For example, on surgical instruments, especially on smaller ones where area to print large strings of text is limited, our logo would be able to be laser marked onto it, so someone in the medical community looking at it would know immediately that it was designed by us. 11. So, I'm partnering up with a friend of mine to start a new medical device design and development company (MedSpark, LLC). A friend of his, who's a graphic designer, just developed some logo concepts for us, but we haven't been able to settle on which one we like best. It would be awesome if we could get your opinion on which one you like the most. At this point we're just trying to decide on the shape of the design... We'll start thinking about what colors we like once we've settled on that. Thanks a bunch in advance for the help!!! Here's a link to the logo concepts PDF file: http://medsparkllc.com/docs/MedSpark_logo_concepts1.pdf We don't have a completed website yet, so I just copied the files over from my "old" company website to our new web address http://MedSparkllc.com/, just in case you want to get an idea for the kinda stuff we're going to design. 12. Thanks. So they're using the same image stabilization system in this camera as they have in other cameras that are considered acceptable or superior for skydiving? By "bottom load", you're referring to the battery, external memory, or? Gravity Waits for No One.
  13. So being the resident expert on cameras, would you say that the HDR-CX550V would be the best camera in this class to go with, or are there others that you're aware of that might be better in terms of video quality, features, etc, etc? Gravity Waits for No One.
  14. Yeah, I did read that thread and watch the short video... However, it didn't appear that anyone had commented on the quality of the results (looked good to me, but I'm not an expert). What is your opinion? Is there a better camera out there that's in the same class? Is there some way of fixing the OIS mechanism (such as with a magnet or something)? Is fixing the mechanism even necessary if you have a very rigid mount and use smooth head movements? Thanks! Gravity Waits for No One.
  15. So I'm interested in purchasing the Sony HDR-CX550V http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666073231, but I read on another thread that the OIS might be a problem... Can anyone confirm whether or not this camera will operate properly in freefall? Thanks in advance for the help! Gravity Waits for No One.
  16. If they let you use the TI-89 at your school, then I seriously recommend you purchase one immediately. You can save all the identities you're required to regurgitate and access them during your tests. I just finished my Mechanical Engineering degree and my TI-89 was definitely the most valuable device I used all through school, except maybe my pencil. Gravity Waits for No One.
  17. Sounds like she was an extraordinarily awesome person. Would have been nice to meet her. Gravity Waits for No One.
  18. You are saying that Bill told you his aircraft had not been grounded? We all know that Bill is still operating. That's not the question. Bill told you that his aircraft had not been grounded? Or did you add that to the story? I guess I can't be sure if he or I actually said the word "grounded", but he did say that nothing unusual had happened and they had been operating non-stop with no lapses in jumping. Gravity Waits for No One.
  19. I heard the same rumor from someone at Perris, but after speaking with Bill over the phone, he said they were operating as usual and had not had not been shut-down/grounded at all. Even if they aren't the safest place to jump (not necessarily my opinion) they do have, by far, the lowest prices anywhere in the world (if you buy 50 tickets at $13 each) http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dzs-sorted.asp?currency=USD Gravity Waits for No One.
  20. Thanks a lot for putting this together! Gravity Waits for No One.
  21. No, getting married ONCE is crazy. Gravity Waits for No One.
  22. That's sickening. I bet he had no idea what he was taking... As someone mentioned previously, you should put some posters up and offer a reward. In the event he's stupid enough to attempt to sell this at some point, emailing pictures of your rig/components to all of the DZs might be a good idea. Gravity Waits for No One.
  23. Hmmm... okay then. I wonder if you'll ask if this is boobies.com when people start posting pics of boobs? Just wondering how consistant you'll be. No, I would never... Wait, where's THAT thread? I want to see boobiez! Gravity Waits for No One.
