I have been jumping at SEMO for the last three years with the SIU Skydiving Club. The instructors are friendly, knowlegable, and have great stories. Most of them have been jumping since skydiving started, with more than 30 years experience. Its a small dropzone, so its easy to get many jumps in, and the group is fairly tightly knit. Everyone is accepted and made to feel welcome and there are no cliques. The location is amazing, right at the bottom of Illinois next to the Missippi river, so at altitude you have an awe inspiring view of both the Mississipi and Ohio rivers meeting. The prices are extremely reasonable, and could be better if gas weren't so expensive lately. The regulars are always willing to offer advice or answer questions, and friendly. I am lucky to be so close to a this DZ, and plan to keep jumping there for years to come.
