  1. Check out Forums: International: Dropzona.com: Ukrainian DZs There are some good references/resources in there. I think it's at http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=2991196;page=1;mh=-1;;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC To read the cyrillic, it works for me to change character encoding Cyrillic Windows (1251) Strafing field mice, twice an hour.

  4. Apes, definitely. Had drag bars on my ol' 74 850 Commando, looked right for the bike. As you have a rigid frame, I think the Apes set it off better. For the record, I run 10" apes (no risers) on my '57 Matchless (strutted, with solo/p-pad), and 10" Twisted Z's on my 99 Buell X-1 (Rigid, 38º rake, etc.) - Those big tall apes look very cool, and certainly you can save on deodorant ridin on the hot summer dayz. I think they might not be the most comfortable on a long ride, but that's just me. To each his own. I like my arms straight out (rather than up or down) to ride most comfortably. 5. nope. but now that I know how the Green Goblin Drink is made, I'll try one 2nite. & on a work night too! Strafing field mice, twice an hour.
  6. Try http://www.online-translator.com/text.asp#tr_form Promt works well, the URL above goes to free online version, I bought the product, and it works well. The free online version only does 1 or 2 small paragraphs at a time; cumbersome if there's a lot to xlate. Good for quick xlations tho'. When I first began studying Russian (only 9 months ago), I found the online free version difficult because one must type what you wish in english, xlate to Russian, xlate result back to english, correct what is 'not really what you want to say', xlate to Russian again; and reiterate until the text makes sense to you. Of course, I'm merely a rookie. Strafing field mice, twice an hour.
  7. I've been there. I would have had to answer that someone's question, "yes, sometimes". I recall a few jumps where I got out, I'm off the hill, and thinking, "HoHum, another skydive. Ok. Whatever..... Wait: should I be risking my life for this which is not giving me the rush that it used to?" - and I have taken some extensive breaks, even 11 months or so. BUT: As of this past weekend, I'M BACK! OMG, got my 1st video, bombout exit about 12 front loops to a sit. Got a 2way together for next dive, turned into a 3way before boarding. Exit didn't work as planned, unable to link/dock, but met 2 great people and we'll try it again. The multiple airgasms are back - WooHoo!! When I started, I told myself "I'm not gettin any video 'til 'I can do stuff'". Except for coached jumps, I've only done prolly less than 5 non-solo jumps. When you can't find jumpmates, and jump by yourself, and teach yourself, mebbe there's a point where you begin to stagnate, or plateau. I know I've been making technical mistakes, but now that I see video I thrill to the 'right' stuff I did, and am very happy to see the mistakes, so I can learn. My biggest 2 things I learned this weekend were; 1> I need to spread my legs more in a sit 2> How to turn (correctly) in a sit also: I can't seem to effectively see my altimeter w/out getting unstable in a sit. I could turn in a sit, but wasn't sure how or why. My coach told me what/how to turn, and the 360º 's were on! ------ Cumulatively, I think if I come across a 'boring' skydive again (& with my new perspective I don't think I will), I will try things that I've not done before to re-ignite the fire. 8. You did the right thing. I did the same with my dog of 15½ years on 29 of December. He was better than many people I've met. It was easier for me once I read Annie's Letter. I am sure your beloved kitty feels the same. http://www.thepetcenter.com/imtop/annie.html My condolences Strafing field mice, twice an hour.

  10. LOLOLAROFAPMP for all these others - but yeah, so sick & tired of hearin whuffo's 'perfectly good airplane' crap. - Guess I do have 1 'ex'-whuffo tale; threw my mom out of a plane for her 60th (told her on the way to lunch I had to 'pick up something at the airport') - on her video she had her hands clenched up in fists. Me, "Why'd you clench your fists, were ya skeered?!". Her, "No, I didn't want to lose my diamond rings!". She calls herself a skydiver (with 1 tandem), and I call her an ex-whuffo. 12. I concur. Agree 100% Unfortunately in my world, I have to work on people's PCs with such footprints on them it makes my skin crawl to think of it. There are people's PCs I won't even touch without "glovin' up" first - (Surgical gloves so I don't have to touch their input device(s) such as keyboards & mice). While such hand disinfectants can and/or* does reduce the body's natural immunity, it's about the only peace of mind I know of when I must visit potentially germ-infested (& who knows what else) places. (If that is a "part of the reason" to which you refer). --- * I'm no doctor, but I do like to study anatomy! LOL Strafing field mice, twice an hour.
  13. this is scary. As a public school employee (computer tech) I'm always worried about the nasties I'm exposed to - I try to touch doorknobs, etc. as rarely as possible, probably wash hands thoroughly 10-15 times a day & anti-bacterial lotion stuff too. So, should I do 50 times? Strafing field mice, twice an hour.
