  1. Mark makes a nice domed slider for the Sabre's that are in my opinion superior to the pocket slider thats just sewn on. Also, as with any canopy, make sure the lines are in trim as well! I dont think all Sabre's are bad, but some Sabre's are.

  11. So does anyone know if you can sign a contract in OK at 16? We're not fucking flying airplanes are we, no we're flying a glorified kite with no power and it should be flown like one! - Stratostar
  12. The OP still hasn't responded to my question. I'm curious. I also said solo in an aircraft, in which the instructor would not be present. There are things that can go wrong in an aircraft and are not/can't be taught before a solo and the same goes for a skydive. There is just to much information. I do agree with your comment about our society though, spot on. I would consider 16-17 year olds on a case by case basis if it weren't for litigation concerns. As someone else put it, not every 16 year old should skydive, same goes for that 35 yr old too. 13. So whats the age do you think a person should be to solo in a powered aircraft? How about a glider? We're not fucking flying airplanes are we, no we're flying a glorified kite with no power and it should be flown like one! - Stratostar

  16. You have 21 jumps and getting close to your "A" I imagine... Stop relying on other people to spot for you, if you need more practice, ask for it and then start doing it yourself. Have a plan on which way to track prior to exiting as well, it shouldn't be made up in the air as you go. Plan the dive, dive the plan. Same goes for knowing when to put on your goggles, get into a routine and stick with it. If you don't understand why someone wants you to do something at a certain altitude, find out what they expect of you. How are you trying to break the habbit? See my post above. The low turn Do you know what you did wrong or is there something still unclear as to why your pattern was messed up? Did you seek out advise if something was unclear? And it showed in the video. How many solo poised exits have you made? "First mock hop and pop went okay", how do you mean okay? How much training was given on how to do your hop n pop? How much dirt diving did you do with your instructor prior to the jump? How much time did your instructor take with you after the jump to do the debrief with you and help you understand what went wrong? These are all important questions to answer. I'm not trying to beat you up, just a lot of unanswered questions that need to be filled in. When did you start jumping and how current are you? Everyone makes mistakes, just learn from them. Start taking responsibility for your skydives and ask questions from those you trust. 19. What happens if somebody is injured or is killed while using your rig? Just a question, I'm sure there is something like this for people renting bikes. We're not fucking flying airplanes are we, no we're flying a glorified kite with no power and it should be flown like one! - Stratostar
  20. This topic has been discussed before, although not in the context of listing it on a website to rent. More for just renting out your rig on the DZ. If you do a search, you will find the threads. It's not the best idea for skydiving gear IMO. Lots of liability #1, rigs cost a bundle usually so what happens if it gets stolen, what about in the event of a cutaway or damage, verifying the credentials of someone that wants to use your rig, doing stupid stuff with your rig, etc. Thats why a lot of dropzone's have rental rigs that jumpers can rent. Just my opinion. We're not fucking flying airplanes are we, no we're flying a glorified kite with no power and it should be flown like one! - Stratostar
  21. Have you tried calling them? I'm sure they could send you some info. I would also ask them if they have a demo canopy they can send out for you to test out. We're not fucking flying airplanes are we, no we're flying a glorified kite with no power and it should be flown like one! - Stratostar
  22. Because it's their riggers ticket and they have that choice. Easy fix, find a rigger that will pack it or get your rigger certificate and pack it yourself. We're not fucking flying airplanes are we, no we're flying a glorified kite with no power and it should be flown like one! - Stratostar
