  1. YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! That was wonderful! There really is no way to explain this experience to anyone. The whole ride back home I kept reliving the experience over and over again in my head. Each time made me want to go back up more and more. Ok, so it seems as though their scale was a lot different than my scale at home. Theirs added another 20 pounds. Because of this they had my jump from 7k instead of the 13k i was originally gonna jump from. I was a little upset by this, but the last thing i want is my fat ass putting anyone else at risk. Regardless I had a wonderful time. Thank you all for the support you've given me, and you can be sure i'll do it again. Blue Skies
  2. I should be just fine with it then. I've already spent several years of my life rock climbing, so I know what most of that is like already. My gf is paying for my first jump. If she ever gives me crap about it I can always tell her that she's the one who got me into it. This time i've got an earlier jump time. If the winds are too high I can wait all day for them to die down. Anyone know of a site that has some kinda wind forecast? Can they predict such things days in advance?
  3. Unfortunately it was too windy to go up today I was so ready for this. So i'm scheduled for next Sunday instead. I didnt even think about it being too windy. I was only worried about it raining.
  4. Thanks all. I appreciate the support. After reading several threads in this forum I am definitely feeling better about this. I cant wait to get up there. Fortunately i'll be flying tandem my first time so I can worry just a little less. I'll be sure to post here after and describe my experience
  5. Hello all, My name is Matt and i'll be doing my first jump this Sunday out of the Santa Barbara area. To be honest, i'm scared to death. I've always wanted to do this, so my gf got me a jump as a birthday gift. I know i'll be hooked once I do it, but I cant help but want to back down. The falling doesnt bother me at all, but stepping off the plane does. Anyone have any suggestions for a first timer?
