Has anybody out there ever heard of bringing back the shine to auto paint that is slightly oxidized by washing it with a diesel solution? And if so what would the solution consist of and what would the ratio be? I have heard of this before but never tried it. My wife and I bought ourselves a 1969 Impala SS for Christmas last yr and the paint is just slightly oxidized. We do plan on new paint but later this summer. So for now I just want to try and bring the old paint back. This is not the original paint but it is original colors. Two tone. Dover White top and Azure Turquoise Bottom. You can see that somebody tried to start waxing it on the trunk but stopped because it appears she wax was starting to sink into the paint. I've seen this before but I'm not sure of the cause I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

You're kidding right? Just because I don't know you sure as hell doesn't mean I don't care if you die. Holy cow! I cant believe that is what you think. Nobody in this sport wants anybody else to die doing it. And if you think that a fatality or an accident doesn't adversly affect the sport and everybody else in it, you are sadly mistaken. And how do you know that you may not jump with other people on here in the future? I may not know you but I sure don't want you to die doing something we both love. I hope you grow old skydiving. Im Not trying to build a case for myself or anybody else. And no. Nobody ever told me shit. And I was under the same mindset as the people here that think well it's just a little camera and I turn it on and forget about it. I ignored the SIM and thought hell, I can do this. But the more I read and the more I jumped, the more I worried about the snag hazard. I realized myself that I was not ready to have that camera on my head and took it off. My post was only because I had read 5 pages of low jump newbies (of which I admit that I am in the category) who are completely unwilling to listen to anybody with any experience. At about 110 I started listening to the jumpers here that have been around for awhile and removed it and haven't put it back on and don't intend to. You can just just keep it. I don't think SSK actually needs it back but they will give you 80 bucks trade in on a brand new unit. I don't know if you can use the batteries in your flashlite or not. They do appear to be about the same size as a c-cell. Pretty expensive flashlite batteries. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

I just bought a new Cypres. Well it's used but it's new to me. Anyway I still have my expired unit and looked into selling it. My question is, is it worth it to sell it or to keep it for the cutter or just keep the cutter. There is only a ten dollar dif. in price with or without if I sell it. A new cutter is $125. Does the cutter have a life? I'm thinking for ten bucks I should just keep it in case I ever use my AAD and need it I have an extra cutter. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
