  3. We have a RC airplane and chopper strip in town and I've gone out to watch on several occasions. Incredible. One guy in particular is phenomonal with his chopper. Outside loops and the like. Never seen any thing like it. When he finally bring her down his hands are just shaking from the adrenaline rush he gets, and i suppose from the possibility of crashing his megabuck chopper. Its a sight to see everytime. So good luck with your new toy. Have fun. Merry Christmas. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  4. Heres another one. You can't eat 3 pretzels in one minute with no water or drink. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  5. Reptile Rooter, thats the name. Flush your nasal problems down the drain. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  6. Sometimes it's easier to ask for forgivness than to ask for permission. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  7. Lots. But the best are 4 Jim Beam collectors bottles that were bottled in 1964. My grandfather was a Beam drinker. Beam whiskey is aged something like 7 to 9 yrs. before bottling so this whiskey is somewhere near 50 yrs old. Last year one of the bottles had the cork top break off and started seeping and evaporating so I poured it into my Belle Of Lincoln, Jack Daniels decanter bottle and break it out on special occasions. How sweet it is. The other bottles tho will remain intact with the seals unbroken. Would actually like to find out just how much they are worth. One is the Montana Centenial Bottle from 1967 I believe. Any ideas? I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  8. I haven't been able to jump in almost 2 months now. Took over as manager in my store and it has put a huge damper on my spare time. When I do get time off I have all the household shit to do and then the family stuff. When I do get a plan together the weather shoots me down. Whine, Whine, Whine. Sorry, just had to get it off my chest. I feel a little better now but not as good as I will feel when I get back in the air. A friend and I are planning an early Feb. trip to Eloy
  9. I got my ass beat regularly when I was a kid and I grew up with respect for my fellow human beings. I also raised my kids with the same respect. Alot of the kids today would be alot better off if they had been raised with a little disipline. Oh but law forbid that you ever spank your child these days. What the fuck happened to our society? to many do goodies who think they knw better whats goood for me than I do. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  10. Once early on I lost stability and statrted tumbling at about 4500. I was aware of what was going on and just knew that I could get stable again. If I wasn't stable by 2000 I was going to pitch anyway. Right at 2000 ft I got stable and threw out and was in the saddle by 1400. Way way low for an A license. Scared the shit out of me. Also scared the shit out of the friend that I had just finished a 2 way with. He watched the whole sequence from under canopy. I was wearing a helmet cam at the time and the film goes something like this. Nice exit. Nice uneventful 2 way. I backslide just a bit to film my friends deployment, and don't extend my legs back out, the ground sky, ground sky, ground sky, almost stable, oops, ground sky, ground sky. Oh YEA! Stable, throw out. Beautiful parachute.
  11. Why were you doing a nightime demo with only 112 jumps? Just curious. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  12. I have 75 or so jumps from a 206 and from my point of view it is a nice jump aircraft. As far as all the particulars, climb rate is not bad depending on how many jumpers in the plane. Fuel consumption I do not know. Get ahold of Skydive Montana. They could tell you all you need to know about the 206. Hope it helps. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  13. Gary and Tina Sanders are absolutly wonderful people. They make all of their customers and regular fun jumpers feel right at home. Alot of the time you will be treated to something off the grill at the end of the day. From altitude you will be looking over the Mission Mountains into the Swan Valley. Looking beyond that you will see the Swan Mountains. Looking down on the Missions you will be treated to a birds eye view of several high mountain lakes. Looking to the North you will have a one of a kind view of the Flathed lake. If you are ever in the neighborhood I would highly recomend getting in touch with Skydive Montana. You wont be dissapointed.
  14. Reminds me of a joke I heard a l;ong time ago. A woman walks into a bar looking to win a little money. She goes up to a guy and bets him a $100 that she can tell a better riddle than he can. So he takes the bet. She says 2 and 2 are 4, and 4 and 5 are 9. I can tell the length of yours but you can't tell the depth of mine. To which he replies, 2 and 2 may be 4, and 4 and 5 may be 9. But I can piss in yours, you can't piss in mine. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

  18. Geez Steve. Sure glad to hear that you are alright. That sounds like a butt puckering experience to me. You're right about those events putting life into perspective and not sweating the small stuff. I have to remind myself of that on a weekly basis. I had a similar experience happen to me about a month ago. I was on a four lane without a divider and I look ahead a ways and there is a truck crossing the center line. There is still a considerable space between us still at this point. I am in the passing lane at this time. I'm thinking to myself that who ever is driving will notice what they are doing and pull back. WRONG. She just kept coming. I luckily had the other lane to get over to. When the woman went past me I was on the far right shoulder and she was halfway int my driving lane. As she went passed me it was obvious that she was dialing a cell phone. I didn't hit the hit the horn for fear of her jerking her wheel. She never even seen me go by she was so intent on what she was doing. Anyway Steve, again glad you're ok. hope to see you soon. I'm hoping to hit the Prairie this Sun. if the weather holds. Maybe Kal city. Take care and watch out for drunk drivers. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  19. When I land at my house I have called my wife from 9000 AGL to let her Know we are on jump run. I dont talk to her but she is aware that when she gets the call that I will be coming in soon and is waiting for me when I land just in case of any unforseen probs. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  20. Whenever I got cuffed and stuffed I was put in the back seat where there are no door handles to get out. Why did the cop put him in the front seat? I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  21. I'm on my second Suby. The first was an 83 G L wagon and it took my wife and I everyplace we ever wanted it to go. Everywhere. I was first sold on Subs back in 1977. My friend had one and it had about a million miles on it. One night we got drunk and rolled it. SSmashed all the windows and landed on the top. Being as drunk as we were, we were not seriously hurt. This happened in town so we had to get the hell out of there. We rolled it back over on its wheels and we drove it out of there. I was sold. Now I own a 2003 LL Bean Outback with all the bells and whistles. Probably more bells than a person really needs but we absolutly love it. Road trips, into the mountains, to the DZ. It just doesn't matter. It does it all. We have friends that own the Baja, but I don't really know that much about it. To me it seems like you lose alot of space with a tiny little truck bed rather than the actual wagon. WE can load the dogs and or our camping gear and hit the road. Plus you have the racks on top for things that don't fit in the car. Ladders and lumber and such. Bottom line is Suby's are great cars. It all depends on taste and whats practical for your needs. Shit, I can't believe that I've reached the age of practicality. I traded in an 88 Formula Firebird, T-Tops, 5 speed with all the bells and whistles for our Sub. 22. Dan Akroyd and Jane Curtain. Dan Akroyd and his X-mas gifts. Bag of glass. Oily rags and a huge zippo lighter. And don't foorget to play with the plastic bag they came in. There is to many to mention. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  23. Why do people think that celebrity marriages and their lives are news. I for one could care less. There are alot more important things going on in this world than Tom and Katie or Pam and the kid. People need to get their own lives. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  24. Blue Oyster Cult. 1976. With the original Lazer Light show. The one that was supposed to blind you so it was banned. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
  25. Thats funny.(landing in a chair) I was at a boogie a couple yrs ago and the last load was landing, This one camera flier came in and landed right next to a lawn chair and sat down like it was meant for him. He was sitting there and his canopy was still flying above him. Funny as hell. Wished I was holding my camera at the time. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
