  1. i'm guessing it has to do something with the adrenaline going through your body. Of course there is windchill falling at 120 mph. But if the temperature decreases as you climb to higher altitude, then it must rise as you fall to lower altitude. I'm guessing that maybe along with the adrenaline that your body is warming up because you are going to lower altitude (yes even with the wind chill) and maybe you dont notice it because the temp is rising. I personally dont feel the temp. in freefall but as soon as I am under canopy my hands are FROZEN!
  2. That is how i pack them. fold the sides into the center, pull the top skin out and wrap it around the whole canopy into a nice burrito lookin thing, s-fold it and get it in the bag
  3. thats exactly how i did it..except it was on good days before i started jumping
  4. Yea...I believe I am up to 3 cases at my DZ. anyways yea i had line twists on my 5 and 10 second delay jumps in the static line course.
  5. other, but thats because i jump the student equipment
  6. well you could compare how dangerous skydiving is to driving a car. Using the statistics of each you could easily show how that skydiving is much safer than driving a car. Also point out how carefully the reserves are packed and packing main canopies.
  7. haha well i guess its all good since you were ok. packing tandems is my job out at the dz.
  8. did you yank on that 3 ring at all? always gotta pull on it a bit to make sure everythings attached
  9. My mother finally gave in to my first tandem. After that she said never again, but yea right! That was only the first of many to come. There has to be some point when she will give in and accept the fact that i was born to be a skydiver. My father does it so it runs in the family. I've known how to arch and cutaway and pull the reserve since I was 2 years old. Surely she must know if I have a mal i will know what to do.
  10. You know what the packers will tell anyone who has a malfunction on a canopy they packed "you had horrible body position! we watched you all the way from here!"
