  1. Quade...no, I'm a dumb soldier of the military-industrial complex. That word is too big. Bill...pull ALL my posts and show me where I ever said I would vote for Obama. Regardless of what he did. Read slower...I think you inferred something. Honest mistake, but kudos to you green guys for piling on quickly to prove my point. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  2. Just to get this ridiculous thread back on track for a second. Something for the 98% of SC that are liberal... I wasn't planning on voting at all unless Ron Paul was on the ballot. I dislike Washington down to my core. I want change, so I was almost willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt by just not voting for McCain, but his choice of Biden was horribly disappointing. Biden defines the status quo of old Washington. As much as I feel McCain does. That pick showed me that Obama had a crisis in personal initiative to do his own thing. I have studied Sarah Palin's methods in governance in-depth. She is as far from the beltway as you can get. And she's brutal in her drive to reform the angry white guy establishment. I WANT a regular American running the country; that was the original intent of our Democracy. She is the shit...plain and simple. I am voting. I am voting on the hope that she becomes the President in the near future. She is what we need. Something for all you Dems to think about. I am only one average American...but I am duplicated throughout the US several million-fold. You have immdiately defaulted to the primary fatal flaw in any conflict...you have underestimated your adversary (Palin), her power, and her effect on this election. It would be much more advantageous to your party to improve your plan for change...or actually come up with one. Attacking the most in-touch with regular Americans person in this election will only do your cause harm. Obama is wise to have avoided that so far, but most of your party won't heed his approach. You'll continue to show the majority of Americans you condecend to your true colors and get your ass handed to you in the best chance you've ever had to win a presidential election. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member

  5. From the Jesse Jackson school of husbandry... ooops Hey...I'm just glad it was with a semi-attractive woman...instead of a male intern or some shit like the other side of the aisle seems to dig. Edit: OK, I just want to point out that I said "semi" - That means 3 margartitas - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  6. Do your homework Jeanne. I have a great many friends at BW...again...conspiracy BS. They're primarily bored sentinels for a bunch of mook bureaucrats now. It just pays a HELL of a lot more than they made working in the pickle suit. They wouldn't follow illegal orders either - you're disparaging good men again. I expect better from you...especially you. Where do you think these guys come from? Cheney's extended family? They're retired First Sergeants and the like, the DPS guys have a minimum of 5 years Special Operations experience. IN THE SAME UNIFORM YOU WORE. Give them a break. Don't hate on them because their CEO had connections and scored at the trough. He takes care of our guys. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  7. As do I, but we have come up with tried and true ways of getting someone to throw the first punch. All of them work just fine. (Task Force Troy was one of my personal favorites). There is no realistic reason to even bring up such nonsense...unless you are either: 1) Making it up to sell your typical agenda. (ding ding ding) or 2) You're Doug Feith, who wouldn't understand the dynamics of real armed conflict if you dipped it in chocolate and shoved it up his ass. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  8. Drawing fire with a U2 v. shooting at your own people are not within the same frame of reality. There is precedent for the U2 scenario, but I can assure you with some measure of subjective certainty that you would be unable to find a SOCOM commander from top to bottom who would obide by such an asinine order. The president is a lot of things, but a realistic assessment of his use of military assets does not support any credibility to the unsubstantiated/unreferenced/unaccepted by any main press vein claim of dressing SEALS up in dishdashas and shooting at them. Now...sending a counter-reconnaissance patrol near or across a "gray" and heavily militarized border in hopes of creating an incident - you betcha. Shooting at our own guys? Not since we got rid of that fucking retard Doug Feith would it even be mentioned in a wargaming BS session. It's a bunch of conspiracy horseshit, hence why it only resides on a horseshit website. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  9. Wrong wing of tin-foil hats. I should have been more specific. Leftist conspiracy theorists. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  10. No, Ron Paul actually. You knew that woman! I've said before - never has a president been in such a position to achieve historical greatness and squandered it so perfectly. I mean - it's almost like you have to strategically plan to fuck up opportunity so completely. It's hypnotic in it's perfection. OP: The content of the memos was accurate? Are you kidding me? Because some old lady had an opinion about them being so - they're complete fabrication was an afterthought? Holy crap! How do I work with this? For a lesson in referential and citational due-dilligence, refer questions to Dr. Marg. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  11. Well sure, because those memos are usually always genuine. Ask Dan Rather. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  12. That's nifty, but the BBC story cites no named sources either. It's amazing to me that anyone can go throw whatever they want in a book and the tin hats snap it up as fact. Funny thing is - conspiracy theorists base this acceptance on pure faith, yet villify those with religiosity for the most part. Not to say that these events DIDN'T happen, but if you require proof of God/Budda/FSM, then I would expect you to require more proof of these whack stories. The level of stupidity out there is just so reassuring. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  13. Wow. Not one verifiable source in any of the articles. Nice work there. Patton was in here the other day briefing us on the moon invasion set for next Tuesday. No really. It happened. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  14. We had a standing appointment to flik some stuff near Knox when he got back. I am saddened by his loss. Nick, on your way winding down the trail to hell, stop off at Fiddler's Green. The troopers won't mind a bit. - Harvey - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  15. Dr. Pausch died today. Story Thanks Doc. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  16. Yeah, I'm a little confused at why the left is so up in arms about this. It was obviously a shot at the right and their villification campaign. But then again, the New Yorker is such a hotbed of Republican ideology... Friggin people are so used to bitching about SOMETHING in this country...they didn't pause to recognize it for what it is. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  17. This thing gonna go anywhere? Nice idea, but... Discuss Link - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  18. Supply is not the issue, nor is OPEC gouging. Fundamentals just don't support it. (read level of demand - especially with people and companies cutting back) I'm for drilling (assuming the market doen't spawn explosive growth in alternative energy sources) because I would rather be paying my fuel money to firms employing workers inside the US instead of helping build skyscrapers in the UAE/Saudi Arabia, but that's NOT a supply issue, per se. It's a supply source issue. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member

  20. Huh? McCain? - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  21. I'll criticize him... That stiff right arm handshake thing drives me nuts...Oh, and he's a liberal. Have you seen Obama's friggin ears? Like a genetic wingsuit! I bet his fall rate is like 43-44 tops! - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  22. It wasn't covered because even negative press about McCain is still coverage. And he will never come close to the media darling status of Obama, who gets coverage when he wipes his ass. Better to ignore McCain v. talk about him in any light. That way there is no room for discussion or open dedate. It's Obama or nothing at all damnit. Get that straight. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
