  1. That point has already been made. I'm calling out the typical liberal response. Minimize it, deny it, or just call it republican, but by no means concede. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  2. John Atchison did a lot of fine work as a prosecutor for this country. Republican darling btw. But he's where he should be. Dead. Worst of the worst kind of douche. I would have been just tickled to have dispatched him myself. And it calls into question all of the work he's done. Can't escape that. I don't care if Ritter correctly guessed the return of FSM - his behavior now is a reflection of his motivations then. Which, btw were monetary - not the pursuit of truth and justice. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  3. They paraded him around as the oracle of reason during the run-up. By every conceivable definition, he was indeed a darling. To the media, to the liberal intelligencia, the press, and the anti-war movement. It sure as hell wasn't the knuckleheads on the right. I have made a very strong illustration of the hypocracy surrounding the left. Had this been, say, (insert formerly respectable righty here), most conservatives would call him a douche as well and that's that. You guys will either defend him (as Slate did the last time he got busted - "she was ALMOST legal"), or deny association – like you’re doing. It would be so refreshing to see one of you go "Yeah, we loved him, but man he's a douche now." You lack the capacity to do so. All liberals do. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  4. Then you don't watch Fox News. Fail. Try again. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  5. Because it speaks to the character and integrity of the man. And kinda completes the circle of good jarhead>Mediocre inspector>douchebag sellout to middle east interests opposed to US intervention>child predator. And yes...the left glommed all over this dude back in the day, so don't give me the he was a republican bullshit. And Quade - He was a darling of the left. Denying that makes you a pathetic revisionist. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  6. Shifting Sands was paid for by someone who was indicted in the UN oil for food program. It was a hit piece. Are you serious? Using that as a source? It was dismissed as a subsidized sham. Dude...that's the best you can do? - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  7. Douche. Link Former UN weapons inspector in Iraq is charged in Pennsylvania child-sex sting By Associated Press 9:21 AM PST, January 14, 2010 STROUDSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A former U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq is facing child-sex charges. Scott Ritter, of Delmar, N.Y., is charged in Pennsylvania with unlawful sexual contact with a minor for alleged online exchanges with police posing as a 15-year-old girl. The Pocono Record first reported the case Thursday. Monroe County authorities say they traced the exchange through his cell phone number. Police say Ritter gave them a video of him masturbating during an Internet chat. The 48-year-old Ritter has been free on bail since a December court appearance. He has acknowledged facing similar 2001 charges in New York that were dismissed. Ritter declined to comment Thursday to reporters outside his home. He resigned in 1998 after seven years as a UN weapons inspector and was a harsh critic of the war in Iraq. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  8. HUGE stretch of an analogous comparison. Fail. You get a reprieve if you can name 1 person imprisoned for political views from the records supplied by ATT or Verizon. On the other hand...Link I'll wait. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member

  10. Here, lesson #1 - Good Football 'Splanation They don't just pull plays out of their asses. It's about reading the defense. Yes Virginia, it's called good football. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  11. Well Patterson disagrees...and he's a coach, so... It was an excellent call and excellent football. You didn't expect it, did you? I sure as hell didn't. Oh...neither did TCU. That's what makes it a great call. Gambles win championships. Learn the game. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  12. Uh...good for them? (and were you paying me to respond at the gun?) Sadly, due to this dragged out bowl schedule, I missed it entirely, thought it was later in the week. But looking over the box score, I hardly see ownage. Scored 10 offensive points, including a mid 4th Q TD to win by 7. That's a good win, nothing more. And it sounds like the Oklahoma one was more entertaining. The 07 game was MUCH more entertaining. This was all defense. For someone so sure of the shit they were talking - you probably should have watched the game. But you would have probably "blamed" the squashing of one of the top offenses in the country (and even higer rated defenses) on the trickeration of a perfectly executed fake punt. Which even TCU said they trained for but got outcoached on. Box score Blah blah blah. Even I was surprised at how dominating Boise State's defense was. The box score doesn't show that. That defense could match 'Bama's offense. And would destroy Colt McCoy. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  13. Ouch - you're going to fall hard when they lose. I didn't denegrate their win. I said that in a playoff situation, they're unlikely to repeat the upset the following game. Better for them to stick with the bowl system where they can live the glory forever. When a 12 seed beats a 5 seed at the basketball tourney, how long does anyone remember or care? About 1 week. A bowl upset lasts forever. But let's review 2008 - lost to TCU 17-16. 12-0 record proven a sham 2007 - lost to directional Carolina, 41-38. Lost to terrible Washington team. No win of note 2006 - Beat Oklahoma 43-42 in very watchable game. Best season. 2005 - Lost to BC, 27-21. Bad followup on 2004. 2004 - lost to Louisville, 44-40. another perfect season tainted. I'm waiting. Where's your excuse for TCU getting OWNED by Boise State? Hmmmmmmm? - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  14. I'm a Lutheran...My wife is LDS. And if you know anything about LDS - that's a major no-no. Causes no issues whatsoever. Her dad kept sending missionaries to the house all the time to talk to me. So I signed him up for a whiskey-of-the-month club. I miss those nice missionary kids. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member

  16. I'LL say TCU was the better team, not blame it on some intangible like global warming...or trick plays being not fair, or not being prepared, or blah blah blah. Boise State haters all sound the same...like Oklahomans. And TCU won by 1 point last year. Yet you just call it a "W." Yet, when BSU wins by 1 point against OK - it's because they used trick plays. Your bias came through immediately, which is fine - just makes your argument lame. Did I mention TCU won by 1 point? Oh, and that was against a freshman QB. Epic. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  17. Wow...nice excuse for Oregon not being ready for the season. You sound like Tito Ortiz after Forrest p'owned him. Boise State would have scored 300 more points this season IF they had scored 40-50 more touchdowns. And IF my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. Please - recover from graduating lines. Weaksauce. WTF you think spring camp and the summer is for? Boise State has an outstanding program. Kellen Moore has the highest passer rating in the NCAA. I mean, have you ever watched a football game? They used trick plays against OK because they were fuggin worn out and Zabranski was a mediocre QB. Which shouldn't matter - a TOP team like OK should be ready for anything right? What does it say about a program that fell for them? Hmmm? TCU will be a challenge, but Boise State "lucky" to get a BCS slot? What excuse will you make for TCU if they get beat by Boise State? [pinches bridge of nose - shakes head in pity] - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  18. I too heard the NPR segment about the memo they obtained. And (gulp) agree tentatively with Dr. Kellend. Unless some new unknown findings come out. This was an overweight, lazy, douchebag with a poor work ethic, who couldn't get laid (initial computer forensic reports showed he spent a lot of time getting shot down on dating sites), spent money at titty bars, sought out a militant mullah trying to find acceptance in his loser masturbatory world... ...and had superiors who thought as much but were afraid to affect any REAL negative action against him. Probably because they were afraid of being labeled racist or intolerant of Islam. Run of the mill loser who decided to shoot at people who couldn't defend themselves. Did militant Islam convince him to do this? Perhaps, but no more than William Luther Pierce (Turner Diaries) convinced McVeigh. He's a home-grown shitbag who will more than likely see a similar fate. My $.02 Purple Hearts? IMHO no. ARCOMS or MSMs for those who did great things during the incident? Absolutely. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  19. November 12, 2009 Pioneer smokejumper Earl Cooley dies in Mont. - The Associated Press Earl Cooley, the smokejumper who took the Forest Service's first leap into a flame-riddled wilderness, died Monday in Missoula. He was 98. Cooley made the jump into the Nez Perce National Forest on July 12, 1940. His chute nearly failed to open and he landed 140 feet above ground, stuck in a spruce tree. Still, Cooley and fellow jumper Rufus Robinson had the fire under control by the next day. In 1958, Cooley was named the smokejumper base superintendent in Missoula. He retired from the Forest Service in 1975 to start Cooley Realty. Cooley also helped found the National Smokejumper Association and served as its president for three years. In 1984, he chronicled much of the Forest Service's early smokejumping history in his book "Trimotor and Trail." Story - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
  20. As the semi-offially anointed most elloquent asshole on here. I concur. A day of hugs and all those things that make me feel all icky. We've lost some brothers in a very demoralizing way. Yeah...I'm in for a day of hugs. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member

  22. CBS was the first to take a swipe at the "report." I guess you can say they're not real news now either since they're not lock goose step with the WH. Yes? Story In the administration's defense, it appears that the data coming in was provided by retards trying to boost the stimulus program for the anointed one. A little due-diligence would have meted it out however. Edit: I TOTALLY want in on the college girl sex habit study though. Now THAT'S stimulus we can believe in. - Harvey, BASE 1232 TAN-I, IAD-I, S&TA BLiNC Magazine Team Member
