  1. I need contact info for Jumping from an Ultralight in western New York ?
  2. MI-8 helicopter can carry up 30 jumpers to 4,000 meters, with a side and back door exit. Fun fast ride to the sky, with a beautiful view of Lake Balaton. The DZ is fully equiped with restrauant, accomadtions, rental equipment, indoor packing areas, facilities are new, modern, and clean. DZ has many special events through out the season. Local town provides many activities to enjoy night and day. This is my favorite DZ :-)
  3. AN-2 is very comfortable and UltaLite is also available for skydiving. Rental equipment available. Located very near town center, good location.

    Siófok-Kiliti DZ

MI-8 Helicopter is a big beast from Russia, strong and powerful, with side and back door, takes you up to 4,000+ meters fast. The only size and type chopper for skydivers in the World. No rule air space allows jumpers thru the clouds :-) Restrauant, Apartments, Rooms, and many hangers for packing, dz is modern and clean, rental equipment available. Near beautiful Lake Balaton. Very UNIQUE drop zone in a beautiful area...
  5. This drop zone does NOT recognize regulations for USPA certified, current skydivers. Made a visit with my certification and currency (previous weekend) management would not allow me to jump with my own rig and jump solo. Management required I retrain, use student gear, and jump with an instructor. This is complete disregard of CSPA and USPA regulations regarding certification and currency privileges. Management Problems. USPA NOT Welcome!

    Skydive Burnaby

Being a certified and current skydiver, I made a visit to the drop zone for a jump. They would not allow me to jump, they also required me to show them a video of a past jump. Again, I am class B and was current from the previous week. I left the drop zone without jumping after a long and insane questioning by management. The management also made a phone call to Niagara Skydive to prevent me from jumping there as well. *There are great legal and mental issues with management at Burnaby and Niagara Skydive.
  7. Maintained and modern facilities, but needs NEW management. Had a packer pack badly.
  8. Where can I find info on a bottom skin deployable flag?Quote
  9. How can I attach streamers to my canopy lines? How long can they be, what lines to attach them to, and how to pack them in the deployment bag?

    Skydive SWOOP

Majestic view of Lake Ontario, Hamilton Harbor, and the City of Toronto. Swoop operates 3 aircraft: a six jumper Cessna 206 and two 4 jumper Cessna 182's. Facilities and management needs improvement.
  11. I was amazed by this drop zone: Twin Turbo Otter and Porter in like NEW condition, ONE large modern complete building with restaurant, night club, hotel, pool, huge indoor packing area, largest drop zone in Europe, friendly helpful staff. I was amazed how complete, clean, modern, and well planned this drop zone is. I have been to many drop zones, and this one is the BEST facility of them all! Warning: This is a CLUB, members have complete priority on the manifest. I waited 2 days to make one jump!
  12. Thanks for your help, you guys are great for new people like me who know nothing about equipment !!!
  13. Thank You "Blackout" ! Your correct, this seller wants the money BEFORE inspection, and said would refund if any problem. I have already found the reserve and main canopy to be a problem!!!!! OMG !!! I am glad I did not send the money yet !!!
  14. THANK YOU Ian ! Are you Russian ? I also found BAD news about the Rave M-181... To ensure that all jumpers would be able to get their canopies in compliance quickly, we needed the riggers in the field with appropriate equipment. To set an acceptable payment to these riggers, we (at Precision) established a charge of $50. With Precision charging this amount, the riggers in the field could charge the same amount and not be accused of "gouging" customers. The riggers would be paid by the customers directly and with registration of the completed repair, a merchandise credit of $100 was issued to the customer to offset his expense. In many cases, dealers (riggers) would perform this update for no charge to the customer and accept the customers merchandise credit certificate in exchange. ...a little description of the SB... The Dash-M canopies affected by the Service Bulletin use Type III tape for the line attachment loops, attached to the lower surface load bearing rib by a single 42 stitch bartack. These canopies were manufactured from initial release, 03 October 1996, thru 12 April 1999. OMG ! There is only garbage on eBay !
  15. I just bought my first rig for $1,230 !!! Please let me know if this was good or bad deal ?? This is for a used Reflex harness container system with a Raven 181-M reserve and a TOmcat 190 Main (Sabre clone made by Air Time designs.) The container is black with a teal pop-top and navy trim. Has BOC throw-out collapsable pilot chute and RSL (reserve static line - cutting away main opens reserve, unless you release the latch). The Main is a rainbow pattern and is very nice looking. It is zero-P and has just over 50 jumps. Also has a collapsable slider The reserve is a raven 181 with zero jumps, and only a few repacks - practically new. (worth more than the opening bid just by itself) Container: 12/97. Reserve: around that time (10/97, I think) Main: 7/95. Non-stainless steal hardware. Please Advise !!! T H A N K - Y O U !!!
  16. Thank You for your wisdom! I have been researching, and have found same answer. As in Australia, 20 years and the rig is expired (trash) !!!
  17. I just bought this rig on the internet, I know nothing about equipment and was hoping someone could advise me if this equipment can be certified to jump and if I will have problems getting it certified? Taking the rig to an inspector before purchase is not possible. Main cap: Falcon 195/ year of construction 7/93 No 300 jumps, always well stored, no holes, no tears, no patches. Harness: Vector II / year of construction 2/91, keeps good, approx.. 500 jumps. Reserve: Firelite 176 / year of construction 6/88, 0 jumps, always well stored, no holes, no tears, no patches.
  18. Thanks...does not seem like 20 lbs. on my back. Wind is a factor where I jump, on the shore of Lake Erie, the wind is always 10-20 mph. Is precision effected by canopy size or design ?
  19. Thanks for the chart, but how do I figure "exit weight" vs body weight? Also this chart does not consider wind conditions?
  20. Thanks for your experience. You had a 170 spectre and had little forward velocity, in what speed wind and how much do you weigh?
  21. I am 150 lbs., male, 5'10", class B, need precision landings, soft openings, and soft landings, and must operate in 10 to 20 mph wind. What size canopy would be best ?
  22. ok, cool thanks for the info, all is welcome. But even the docking endorsement requires an "I" instructor, I do not see that a coach can sign anywhere. Every line on the card requires "I." Thanks...
