  2. Not all who reads these threads are riggers.. I know what a safety stow looks like, but some might not.. There is nothing wrong in knowing what you are looking at when you open a container. And know what it should look like, and not... https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  3. andy9o8 and Para5-0: I had no idea that you guys would be able to read so much about me between the lines... I gotta say Im really impressed.. It must be so easy to get to know people, when you just need a few lines, and then can tell some ones personality and their intentions.. I envy you... And to all you others. Thanks for you replies. It has been a great help :) https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  4. Exactly the kind of answers I was looking for :) Is the shortage larger in some states than others? https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  5. Just where did I write that I am planning on working in the US without some kind of work permission. That being a green card, or an other kind of permission?? You said that.. Not I... This was not meant to be a discussion abt Laws and rules. I was just trying to find out if anyone are willing to hire TI's with little or no experience, and where that might be. Maybe some states are more likely to need TI's or something. I Don't know, and I'm seeking some infos. Thats all.. https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  6. Yeah i kinda figured that out :) I completely understand.. and thanks for the answer.. I know abt the work permission rules over there... Just want to know if we, as new TI's with wet ink on the card, are able to get work for a period of 2-3 months.. Private messages are welcome :) Thanks again... https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  7. A friend and I are planning on getting our TI-rating next spring/summer in the states, and then work as TI's for a couple of months over there as well after that, before going back to Denmark.. Does anyone have any suggestions where to get work, and if its even possible as a new TI??? https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/

  10. Hey.. I jumped a V310 with a sabre2 170 for 1.5 years now, and it's not that tight. I mean shure its tight, but not a bitch to pack.. I just bought a sabre2 150 today though:) looking forward to jump it at the end of the week!! https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  11. I am helping a friend of mine getting started with filming rw. her plan is to buy a top mount, mabye an optic illusion. anyone have experience with the sony dcr hc45/47e?? does it have an LANC for cam eye?? is it okay a newbie camera flyer?? https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/

  14. I have a larger plate that came with the helmet. I bought it used. and I know they both will fit on top of that one, but the larger plate also is less snag proof I think. As for the weight and balance thing, I was thinking that because I'm not always gonna jump with the still, the helmet will be heavy to one side because the video camera is mounted out in one side to make place for the still. If mounted in the front, jumping without it won't make any difference sideways. Am I making a big problem out of nothing or what? and Phil.. thanks for the lesson;) but blame my english teacher in school. she never successfully got my eyes away from the playboy magazines and other stuff on my desk. But have to say I'm impressed.. most people from the other side of the pond thinks Denmark is the capital of Sweden, and don't know that danish is a language, and not just some kind of cake No seriously.. thanks for helping me out... https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  15. Hi Everybody. I am planning on putting my new camera gear together within a few days. Just bought a FTP, and my new Sony HDR HC5E is on its way. should be here on monday. I also have a sony EOS 400 (rebel XTI) that i'm wanting to jump at some point later this summer. need a few more jumps I think. My plan is to mount the still camera on a liquid flat lock, but can't decide weather to make space for the still on top or just put it down in the forehead. also I can't decide weather to use a quick release for the HC5 too, or just mount direct to the helmet. I have done a lot of search the last couple of days, but didn't come any closer. any advise would be appreciated -Edited 'cause I can't spell- https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  16. here is some pics of me. thought they were a bit nice, so here goes... https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  17. i am looking for a used FTN. so if anyone wuld like to upgrade i am willing to buy. just send me an e mail on my dz mail https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  18. it is the danish spelling for "beep'er" it says "dyyyt" in Denmark, not "diiiit" glad we got that solved out.. cheers https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  19. In Denmark it is legal to buy booze in stores and drink at age 16, and drink at bars at 18. but it is pretty common to see 15 yr olds drik at parties. no one is making a big deal out of that. many people see it as a part of the danish culture. you have to be 16 to start jumping here, so it is not a problem here. according to danish law most bars at dropzones are not seen as "bars". it is pretty hard to explain... BTW you cant drive a car until age 18. but you can drive a tractor on a highway with a 20 ton load of... say cemicals when you are 15. absolutely INSANE!!! https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  20. Hi all.. me and my buddy just graduated college in Denmark, and we want to get away from the cold and depressing weather this winther (november - march) and we wants to do something skydiving related. we currently have about 300 jumps each and 3-4 years in the sport, so we thought that a job as a packer would be the thing we are looking for. but... how does this work? how can we get jobs that is shure to earn us enough money to make it through the four months? is it hard to find a job when you don't know anyone? and where are the buisy DZs in these months?? is there anything else we should be concerned about?? thanks.. https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  21. V310 micron will hold max 150 main, and 150 reserve.. I currently have a sabre 2 170 in mine, cos I cant afford a new sabre right now.. it is tight, but not impossible to pack.. its okay.. https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  22. the risers on the demo canopies in europe is made by Velocity Sports Equipment I think. the company behind the Infinity H/C. I dont know if they use the same ones in the states.. but if you are looking to get a new set of risers you might want to have a look at the new louie loop risers from UPT... lokk pretty cool to me https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
  23. comment on this racers being good looking because of its simplicity.. I think it is the least simple looking rig on the market. all the wrinkles and flaps closing in odd ways.. dosen't seem simple to me.. no offence
  24. same here.. tried to get some extra info besides what is written on dropzone, but could not open it. just a blank page. guess I have to buy rawa or bonehead then https://icarusanddaedalusadventures.blogspot.com/
