More specifics on the freefly fantastics: Zach Sabel (that sexy beast) from Skyventure Colorado will be doing general freefly and load organizing. He'll also be part of the auction. That's right ladies, SDH will be auctioning his sweet buns off for a date. The winner of the auction wins a free sunset 2 way with Zach and a private dinner. I'll be buying quite a few of those tickets. One line got wrapped around your dbag when your canopy was in it. I had something similar some years ago. If might not have been there while flaking at all so it would not have been visible. Once the canopy got put in the bag and the lines stowed, at some point a line went around the bag. This causes a single line to be wrapped around the other line groups on opening. How much unstowed line is left when the bag is going into the container? If you usually only have a couple stows and then a lot of leftover line that gets coiled into the bottom of the pack tray, your packer may have accidentally rolled the bag through a single line. If you stow more of your lines, it minimizes the chance of a malfunction like this. Does your packer frequently just do a couple stows and then coil the rest of the lines to save time packing? When people do this, it wouldn't be hard to get a single line wrapped around and not even know it unless you pulled the canopy out again. But if you wear a weightbelt you aren't naked. I think a weightbelt would be considered an article of clothing, instead of putting on weights, you have to shave your body like the swimmers do. That will help speed you up. If the ladies have trouble going low, they'll have to put the razor away for a couple weeks. So it sounds like there is a community interest in defeating an archaic record like this, except the right organizer needs to come along and make it happen. This sounds like a job for a Summerfest or LP boogie organizer to take on. Late summer with large loads of people coming. Shit 23? We could bust this in this very year. Trent is indeed awesome and his accomplishments can not be questioned. No disagreement there at all! He's truly a cool dude and rockstar. I would argue however that he is only one man. A talented and respected man for sure, but only one. If he alone were over 5%, then that would leave less than 19 others organizing in the state. Between what I've seen at Dallas and Waller, there are well over 20 kicking it hard as often as they can. At SDH, we're trying to keep 8 medal winning record holding blah blah blah team freeflyers keeping the freefly scene funky fresh at all times on top of all those up and comers and non team freefly folk. So therefor, I stick to my original opinion. I did catch wind in the rumor mill though that some tailgates were joining the TX scene via Spaceland. It's awesome to hear some confirmation! I think this will be an exciting addition to a kick ass state. I'll definitely be by at some point. I try my best to make a point of coming down for some weekday jumps every couple weeks. Bryan is right. We all do what we like and what makes us happy. What makes me happy is to piss off anonymous people online and I think I do a good job at it. It all comes down to penis. It's a funny word. Try and say penis without cracking a smile. I can't. Maybe it's because I'm 25 years old and having a good time. I can't help it. Penis is funny.
