  1. That is what is stated in the SIM. 200 within previous 12 months. I completely agree that more experience is recommended. But I saw throughout the whole thread that only the 200 jumps was mentioned. Does anyone feel that the 18 month rule is up in the air or that even the guy or gal who has been jumping for the past 4-5 years with roughly over 200 jumps wants to wingsuit but can't make those 200 in the 18 months has to wait until 500 jumps?
  2. I see everyone mentioning the 200 jumps but no one has added that it says within the previous 18 months. Is that an issue for anyone? Or is it 200 jumps has a C-License but those jumps are over the past 4 years. Does that pose a problem for anyone?
  3. Pic. I took the invisible sheet off of it this time.
  4. Here is the hanging harness we built the other weekend.
  5. I was wondering what you use are your DZ for your AFF hanging harness cutaway system? Do you have them hanging or do you just do the procedures on the ground? Can you post your pictures to show the differences or similarities.
  6. I am the one in the middle. Top is a Velo 90, I was on a Velo 96, bottom one is a Velo 90. Good times!
  7. I would definitely like to see those workouts. Can u email them to me? Thanks
  8. Thanks for everyone's stories. I work at a busy dz. Did almost 1300 jumps this season. Helps to be versatile in the sport. I can go from doing anything they need except fly the plane.
  9. I plan on talking to him. I am not planning on jumping til march. 5 Months should be enough time to heal.
  10. I am a T-I, AFF-I, Rigger, and coach. I was in a motorcycle accident last week and broke my clavicle, fractured a rib and punctured a lung. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar brake and how long it took you to heal. Thanks in advance.
  11. I agree with what everyone is saying so far. I agree that the progression through the turns from 90's, 180's, 270's and up is great to practice while doing hop'n'pops. But learning to swoop gates is a different story. There is endless discussion of progression through turns during different wind conditions. I just wanted to see what the Canopy Coach's were teaching about the 180's. Thanks again, ben lowe
  12. I was having a discussion with one of the guys at my dropzone about practicing 180's during full altitude loads. I told him that practicing 90's would be safer unless doing hop'n'pops. How do the canopy pilots at your dropzones feel about teaching 180's? ben lowe
  13. Student Gear 220 Nav (1-20) PD 190(F-111) (21-268) Sabre 170 (10 jumps) Sabre 150(50 jumps) Sabre 135(50 jumps) Cobalt 120(100 jumps) Crossfire 107(10 jumps) Velocity 96(1000 jumps) Velocity 84(30 jumps) I felt comfortable with my downsize history. All of my jumps have been with in 3 years. Very current jumper.
  14. Do you have a picture of their dive loops? Ben
  15. I have been jumping wings risers for the past year. I am looking into getting new ones. I have heard the Louie Loop Risers are good. Any other input from all of you I swoop with in the FLCPA. ben lowe
