Well the system can still be saved.... but the SCOTUS seems to think that this can only be done by the voters.... which means, even if the voters elect a dictatorial fascist party whose platform openly defies the constitution, then I guess that is OK.....? So much for the checks and balances that were built in to keep the seditionists out of office. But hey, they have not ruled on anything yet and frankly, I listening the the arguments live and I did not hear all the doom and gloom that is coming out of the media on the matter. So I am willing to wait on the ruling.... which also may not be a ruling at all. SCOTUS may choose some limp noodle thingy that accomplishes nothing and kicks the can down the road.

despite any presidential primary discussions about Trump 'winning', the GOP are simply not gaining any votes from this issue and stand to lose many over abortion and women's rights in November. much the same as trump not gaining any support because he is under indictment. What support he has might be firming up, but only within the MAGA and right wing.... not the population in general. But the Democrats are POS's for the simple fact that they had the chance to codify women's rights and bodily autonomy in their first term, and never even brought it up for discussion. Even if they were not successful, it would have shown everyone where the two parties stand on the issue of women actually being equal in the country. nothing is working. The GOP and Trump did not 'fix' immigration either, they just took draconian measures at the border in hopes of stopping it. They reduced it, they did not stop it nor even come close. another failed campaign promise. At least Biden made no promises that he would fix immigration. Neither party wants to fix this, ESPECIALLY the republicans right now, because it is fodder for election campaigns. The GOP gets more out of blaming Biden in favor of the soon to be convicted felon, than they do by passing any immigration reform. Democrats do the same when it is their turn, and they can blame the other guy If only Americans were not so fucking stupid.....
