  1. What upsets me is that Pence's wife isn't on board. How's he supposed to get anything done without Mother present? - Dan G
  2. I like how you put these two sentences right next to each other but will never allow yourself to see the irony. - Dan G
  3. The lamp wouldn't really matter, since he'd tweet about the surprise attack the night before. - Dan G
  4. No twisting needed. You said it yourself. As long as black on black violence is a problem, you think we should ignore violence against innocent blacks by the authorities. And no, Michael Brown wasn't a martyr. But Castille was. Is what happened to him okay because other blacks are shooting each other somewhere else in the country? - Dan G
  5. So in your mind, an organization dedicated to preventing police violence against blacks is a waste of time because more black people are killed by other black civilians than by cops? Man, you must really have it out for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Why are they wasting so much time and money? Way more people are killed by heart disease. Ostriches with their heads in the sand, those MDA morons! - Dan G
  6. BLM is primarily about cops killing black people. It is not about white people killing black people. At all. Say it with me, Black Lives Matter isn't about white vs black. People like you really, really want it to be so you can ignore it. But it isn't. Sorry. - Dan G
  7. I don't get your post title. Who is the wrong audience? Who is the messenger? - Dan G
  8. Both sides do the exact same thing. Many Trump supporters think all liberals are either welfare queens or ivory tower intellectuals. Many liberals think all Trump supporters are mouth breathing wife beaters. Real people exist in the middle, but real people don't saturate social media with their bullshit. - Dan G
  9. Sure you can. No one is forcing you to jump at a USPA Group Member DZ. - Dan G
  10. Static line and IAD jumps did not count toward your license when I started in 1995. Not sure when they made the change. - Dan G
  11. Is this the same Andrew Jackson that Trump said was the president he most admires? Naw, Saint Donald could never admire someone so evil, and a dirty Dem to boot! - Dan G
  12. Wow, Obama (the Deporter in Chief when it suits the GOP) is now toblame for the illegal alien problem. He must have been very busy as a child and teenager to create the crisis in the 80s that Reagan dealt with. - Dan G
  13. How about you ban yourself again until you have something intelligent to say? - Dan G
  14. You're right, I expanded the concept of a threat to liberty. That's because I recognize, and have been consistent about, the fact that Germany wasn't a direct threat to the US. People arguing the other side have taken the contradictory positions that the US was never threatened, and we only joined the war because we were threatened. - Dan G
  15. I never said that everything the US does is good, and I don't believe that. Let's review the conversation: 1. Rush posts some stuff about regretting he didn't sign up and thanks veterans for protecting his freedoms. 2. The America haters get all in a huff and declare that the US military has never fought to secure American freedom, at least not since 1776. 3. I say, "what about WWII?" 4. The America haters declare that: A. The US didn't fight WWII to secure American freedom. B. The US was never threatened by the Axis powers. C. The US was complicit in the Nazi expansion and the holocaust. D. The US entered the war because Germany declared war and we just wouldn't stand for that, even though Germany had no plans to ever attack us and up to that point we had apparently been rooting for Germany. 5. I attampt to point out that it doesn't make any sense to simultaneously declare that the US wasn't threatened, but we only joined because we were threatened. 6. Everyone declares that I must not have graduated fifth grade. (As opposed to the degree in Foreign Affairs with a focus on Western Europe). 7. I give up, you all win, the US has never fought a good war and all veterans are baby killers, cowards, and secret Nazis. - Dan G
  16. So, according to you, the US had no national interest in fighting the Germans, but we sent hundreds of thousands of troops, billions of dollars in funds and equipment, and went on a national war footing because Germany declared war? Not because we were actually threatened by Germany, you already established that American liberty was never at stake. We did it all over a piece of paper? And to get back to the point of the thread, the individual men and women who actually fought in Europe and the Pacific didn’t sell arms to the Nazis. What they did in helping to defeat the Axis was noble and heroic. - Dan G
  17. Because you can't even admit that our entry into the European theater, which you concede was not due to any threat to American interests, was good. If you can't bring yourself to admit that the US helping to defeat the Nazis was good I can't imagine anything else that we've ever done meeting with your approval. - Dan G
  18. Germany didn't attack us. Why did we get involved in Europe? The rest of your post is just your usual America bashing bullshit, intended to get a rise out of us dumb Yanks. I'm not biting. - Dan G
  19. I’ll ask you the same question kallend refused to answer. Can you bring yourself to admit the US has ever done anything good? - Dan G
  20. Can you bring yourself to admit that the US has ever done anything good? - Dan G
  21. All of you who think the US got involved in WWII for shits and giggles seem to forget about the concept of crimes against humanity. While the Germans and Japanese were not realistically threatening the US directly, they threatened the very idea of humanity. Fighting them was noble whether they were knocking on our door or not. - Dan G
  22. I had a car stolen in the early 90s. It had locking nuts on the rims. Of course I kept the key in the glove box in case I got a flat tire, so you can guess how many wheels were still on the car when the cops found it a couple days later. At least they didn't damage the bolts getting the nuts off. - Dan G
  23. I don't know all the specifics of the Colorado law, but an effective universal background check law would require the gun owner to hold onto a piece of paper that shows the background check was performed. For some amount of time people will be able to claim they boight the gun before the law was in place. Over time that claim will become more and more spurious. The other way this law would be enforced is through sting operations to get serial illegal gun dealers. It could be an effective way of combating the underground gun market. No laws are perfect, and no laws have precognition. But a background check law is enforceable if the authorities want to enforce it. - Dan G
  24. Lemme guess. You don't recall any anger, hatred, and ridicule of Obama, either, do you? - Dan G
  25. The only evidence you have shown that it was unenforceable is that it was not enforced. Got anything else? - Dan G
