  1. Tried to find it on USPA.com, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have a link? This subject is currently very important to me. Thank you.
  2. Besides this is wouldn't make any difference it's not even true. Palms down has exposes more surface area. Not that it would make a difference anyways.
  3. The most interesting part about all this is that tons of fellow skydivers start a huge hate campaign against a dz, potentially causing financial damage beyond repair etc.... without even waiting for a statement by the DZ. Even gear manufacturers chiming in. As if some blogpost of a single guy would be the undisputable truth, only because he is a decorated vet. I know decorated vets that i wouldn't even trust an inch. Especially a person seeking for donations to write a book on his blog. Not saying it didn't happen... but how can someone just unquestioningly believe a story that wasn't reported by a third party but by an obviously pissed off customer. Some people should breathe through there noses for a minute.
  4. Hi! Does anyone have pictures of Tom Piras and Patrick de Gayardon in a bit of higher resolution than the pictures i found via google? Thank you! B
  5. Could you please explain what you mean by deathplane? Thanks.
  6. I am pretty sure that I have what you need. I'll post it as soon as i get home from work.
  7. Nürnberg is closed and Munich airport will be closed at 1500 local time. Stuttgart is partyly closing down operations. My flight from Stuttgart this morning was cancelled. :(
  8. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1218325901890&saved there you go. 120sqft, WL 3.3 and tons of fun.
  9. Small but really nice DZ between between Munich and Stuttgart. This DZ has all the positive aspects of smaller dropzones like: - you'll always find someone to jump with, regardless of your favourite discipline. - no hustle of getting a lift if you want to. - many lakes (one of them directly at the DZ) and many other activities like wakeboarding just down the road. The plane is not the fastest, but getting up to 13000ft in under 20min is really okay in my opinion. Exitaltitude is 13000ft on Wednesday and 12000 on the weekends, but you often get the extra 1000ft on weekends too. Canopypilots and swoopers are very welcome, they have a swooping area (speedcurve and distance)and possibility to get a lift to 5000ft on every load. (A top notch swooper is also training at the DZ...;)) As stated earlier the vibes at the dropzone are really good. There are honestly no Cons to think of if you want to spend a relaxed day or weekend at the DZ. WOuldn't be the right place for hardcore RW training, though...:)
  10. Hey! Life is full of pleasant surprises....was at the dropzone today and did my 218th jump with a guy from a different DZ. Best friggin' jump ever! First time I managed to dock with someone in HD. What I find funny with freeflying is that it often makes *click* during a jump and you wonder why you couldn't do it before. Anyways heres the video (my POV): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXvX8jBfTtE sorry for my rusty english....
  11. Being under a Tandem is a very dangerous place to be. But I would like to have your opinion on something (especially from the more experienced folks here). Let's just say you want to take photos from below the tandem. Being directly under the tandem is, without controversy, very dangerous (TD-premature, burble etc.). Would this still be the case if the photographer would be, let's say 45feet below the tandem? This doesn't resolve the danger of a premature of the photographer's canopy. But wouldn't it be enough room to have time to react in case of a TD-premature (trap-door), respectively the burble wouldn't have any greater effect on the TD? I know that the angle for the picture/video may not be the best. This is just a theoretical question. Thank you.
