I was thinking this too. The 190 was a smooth ride and I actually stuck the landing standing up. I did tho have the radio to talk me down. But, I was already ahead of the JM when he was telling me the flare 1-2-3...... So it was a huge confidence builder. I'm so glad my buddie came to me in the bar back on July 12th and asked me if I wanted to jump outa a plane... I've been on a Airgasm jonesssssss trip ever since!! Gota jump baybay!! Blue Skies!

I know I'm new here and also very new to the sport of Skydiving. I'm addicted to it only after 3 jumps. 2 tandem and 1 AFP. My question is this; What is the best part of your jumps? I mean the part of the jump you look forward too? and secondly what is the worst part? The part you don't actually want to do? For me the best part is the feelings and mind numbing rush you get when you first leave the plane and arch back and watch the plane fly away. The one part I don't really look forward to is the landing 1. because the jump is over and 2. I sure don't wanna hurt myself or have anyone razz me about a face plant...ect... So I hope you all will put up with me.. I'm actually begining to feel a bit at home here and I am learning so much just reading the different threads somethings are better then others the jumpers websites are fun to look at and the pictures are wonderfull. I hope one day to be as good as some of you guys here and maybe get a raft dive!! That looks like a blast!! I've typed enough and look forward to reading your answers to my mindless babblings

I have to admit I'm a Bud Light drinker... BUT!!! while drinking Bud Light I'm drinkin shots of Jagermeister or a combo think of a half beer mug of RedBull and a shot of Jager dropped in then drank and lightning speed... Then there is the wine. "puke" oh a Good Bloody-Mary on a Sunday morning always makes the day look fresh.. specialy after a Saturday of ummm well you guys know your skydivers

Well I've been at SPL for a little over a month now. It's the only DZ I've seen. From the way I have been treated I'm very inpressed with the staff including the JM's!! I'm enrolled in AFP and feel very confident with all the JM's Specialy "Rabbit" and Kris along with Scott {Canucklehead}, James...ect...The video service is A+ Top Notch EZ runs a very fast and clean operation there. With editing on site. The pack room {loft} is AC'd and carpeted. Good staff of Riggers. Rentals if needed. The food at the Cutaway Cafe is tasty! You aint lived till you eat a "Scotty Burger" LMAO. I walk into the hanger and people greet you with smiles. I wish I could say more... If you ever in Houston Texas make a stop at the DZ {soon to be known worldwide} Spaceland Skydive. I plan on spending alot of time here!!

Well if you do land on the runway at least the plane can't hurt you. You're on such an adrenilin rush nothing can hurt you... I'm not one to say many smartass remarks but I've stuck all my landing even the tandems...
