Im in Hungary at the moment and I just saw a commercial on TV.. I couldnt understand a word of it but it was for Dreher beer.. it was a really cool fast-paced commercial with a bunch of skydivers jumping, doing some formations, landing and then cracking open beers.. thought I would share.. Anyone seen it/ was in it?

And Ronaldo may be injured as well which sucks! The ref was crazy last night though, most of the players had a yellow card by the end of the game. Sure the Netherlands looked better for most of the game but you forget that Portugal were one man down for most of the game. There was a brief period after Holland got a red card when they were both at 10 men but Portugal was down to 9 soon after that. Kudos to the boys for managing to hold on against such a strong Holland attack. The defence has improved so much! Hopefully it won't be a repeat of the England-Portugal game in 2002. This time Portugal should win in normal time! Go Portugal!!

Does he have a passion of his own? Maybe he needs one to understand how you feel about skydiving... encourage him to do something! I have a non-skydiver boyfriend and it's working out perfectly fine because he is into taekwondo and understands the whole passion thing. Infact he always tells me how much he likes it that I love jumping! I guess its a bonus that he works all day Saturday so me going to the DZ doesn't really hinder "us" time..

It's psycho! I have an exam this morning and didn't get to bed til 1:30am so I decided that I couldn't (shouldn't?!) get up at 5am to see the game.. I thought I wouldn't check the score but watch the replay today.. Come 7:00am, I'm still asleep but I start hearing these cars beeping insansely and people going nuts outside my window (I live in the city).. so I knew there was a good result. (In fact it's 9:30am now and people are still beeping!) I wake up and find all these SMSs going "how good was it that we drew 2-2???".. agggghhhh but I'll still watch the replay! I'm going to go buy an Australia jersey today to take to Germany next week! There's little to no chance that we're going to beat you guys hey... but who knows really? I was really hoping when I checked the scores today that I would read about Italy's poor form and their pissed off fans oh well.. May the best team win!

You could do what I did.. I was assigned random JMs for the first few jumps and then after a while I would approach a JM and ask them if they would jump with me.. if they said yes then I would make the request at manifest. As AFFI already pointed out, sometimes there is a lengthy wait because that person has prior committments. In hindsight though, I really enjoyed jumping with different people because they all have different approaches to teaching and you pick up different things..

I agree with you.. I don't really like anyone knowing exactly what I'm doing/ what I think/ how I think except for me. I used one of those anonymous diary pages when I was younger but just got over it.. I guess the dz.com archives are the most anyone can use to "stalk" me and even then, they would have to find me on this site.

That's not really practical since I'm in Australia.. it'll cost over $100 just in postage back and forth.. I guess I can live without my name being on the rig... better safe than sorry.

ummm.. if you've only spoken to him for 2 hours ever then shit yeah he wants more than platonic. spending a night together in the hotel room is pretty intense.. and it's more than 2 hours long. realistically, how many guys invite a girl (who lives 25 mins away and he has only spoken to for 2 hours) to sleep over in their hotel room so they can become better friends? if it was platonic, he would meet you for dinner/coffee/ whatever. if it was platonic and he decided he liked you when you guys were hanging out, then you'd end up in his room. if he has already pre-invited you to sleep over, obviously it's not platonic for him. what are you guys going to do? play scrabble? understand what you want before doing anything..don't get yourself in a situation you can't handle. Edit to add: sorry i'm not a man but i ran it by my boyfriend (who's sitting here) before posting..

you know what.. whenever i have quit for a while (ie. over a month) and go back to have a ciggie, it's gross. i think when you smoke regularly, you become accustomed to the taste.. if you ever go back and have a ciggie a few months after you've quit, it will cement your plight because that first puff is gross and will gross you out. i'm quitting at the end of next week for good. i've tried so many times but living in a bloody college dorm & being able to get duty free cartons regularly really didn't help. I have a Dolphin D3 1998 that I had sent to the manufacturer so it has now been re-constructed with the tuck tabs.. (so you know what it looks like).. I really want to get my name stitched onto it. As I was feeling around the container for possible places (bottom of lower reserve flap? one of the side flaps on the main compartment?) I noticed that the back of the material, althought not thick at all, has a sort of plasticy feel to it.. I was wondering whether it would compromise safety in any way to have my name stitched onto it. Also, does anyone (who is familiar with the rig) have any suggestions as to where on the rig I should get it done? Do I need to tell the person stitching it anything? Cheers!
