  1. Kip’s Lohmiller's passion for skydiving and teaching is incredible and addictive. My husband and I took his AFF-I course this past week. It was exciting, very intense, challenging, educational and fun. Kip has the unique ability to recognize exactly what each candidate needs to succeed. He constantly challenges flying and teaching skills, evaluating at all angles. His approach is about furthering the sport and bringing fresh ideas and techniques to student programs. His knowledge of the manuals and years of expertise and analysis are very evident. We highly recommend this course to anyone interested in obtaining an instructor rating. Our many thanks go out to Kip who gave us exactly what we needed to find in ourselves just what it takes to be an instructor. 2. We would love for you to come out and jump with us!
  3. Don't forget to pre-register....only three days left!!! Tell your friends to come too! I am looking forward to jumping with you!
  4. ONLY 12 DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE NC THANKSGIVING BOOGIE!!!
  5. I think people would be down with the Mr. Potato Head jump. Sounds fun. What does it entail...passing the Mr. Potato Head hoping all the accessories (i.e. eyes, ears, lips, etc) don't fly off? Glad you can make it!!! It's going to be so much fun. ~ Melissa ~ "Life is too short to walk the same cautious path as everyone else."
  6. I don't think there will be any specific sign-ups, but I'm sure the word will get around if you're interested. : ) ~ Melissa ~ "Life is too short to walk the same cautious path as everyone else."
  7. Yeah! We really wanted to have a Cessna 182 as well. : ) You rock! ~ Melissa ~ "Life is too short to walk the same cautious path as everyone else."
  8. Hey! Yes there is camping at the airport. We're hoping to rig up an outdoor shower w/hot water, as there are not indoor showers. There is a campground close by you may want to check out. Just go to the website www.NCboogie.com and click on the Accommodations link. See you there!!
  9. I think we have some damn good Casa pilots lined up so a raft dive can definitely be organized. I think Whitney also has a gravity ball so maybe some can play with that. If someone brings a large hula hoop we can throw that into the mix too! : ) Looking forward to meeting everyone. Pre-register and save time and money!!
  10. It's great to see all this support! Everyone make sure to pre-register at www.ncboogie.com. You'll save some cash! It's going to be a fabulous weekend. Help us spread the word. Tell all of your jump buddies to come out and support the event. We're keeping the Thanksgiving Casa Boogie in NC alive! 11. I have to say that running out the back is awesome, but one of my favorite Casa jumps is to hook arms, face the pilots, and just fall out backwards. Keep your body stiff and enjoy the hill! Are you up for that?
  12. That would be great! If you could pass the info on to your contacts it would be very much appreciated. Thanks!! : ) Melissa ~ Melissa ~ "Life is too short to walk the same cautious path as everyone else."
  13. That would be awesome Simon!! Thanks so much for doing that!
  14. A Casa is a tailgate aircraft that holds approximately 32-34 jumpers. Tons of fun!! 15. Melissa and Keith were initially devastated by the closing of CSS. We have spent every weekend there for the past 3 1/2 years. We did everything we could to keep the DZ alive, and support the growth of the sport. We will not abandon this mission just because Paul and Nancy are retiring. The energy continues and grows daily. As we write this, there is a group of empowered CSS'ers that are taking the ball and running. A new DZ will open, and it will happen soon. It may be a few weeks or months, but we will all jump together again soon in the triangle area! We love our family from CSS, and everyone else that visited and jumped with us. The future is bright.... we will build a better DZ, No Doubt :) Stay tuned! Love, and blue skies, the Flying Majeroni's ~ Melissa ~ "Life is too short to walk the same cautious path as everyone else."
