  1. For the most part I think people who work in the industry just estimate the amount of time they have flying. For myself I have been working at Flyaway Las Vegas for almost 2 years and just figuring my average flight time per week over that period I'm around 20 to 25 hours Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  2. Best quote EVER Dawn, you are a smart one. Brett Butler aka Gangle at Flyaway Vegas (6'7" + 175 lbs you get the picture) Flyaway Instructor for almost 2 years so tons of time there plus another hour or so at Venture Colorado. P.S. This post is neat Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  3. I love how a post that is just suppose to give a shout out and say thank you turns into a discussion about the venturi effect. Skydivers are awesome! Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  4. Two other instructors from Flyaway Las Vegas and myself recently made a trip to Denver, Co for various reasons, one of those was to check out the new tunnel there. No more than an hour after the last one of us landed we were at the tunnel checking out their facilities. We weren't even planning on flying that day but the wonderful people at the front counter managed to squeeze us in for a short session, by bumping a group that the owner Norm had brought in. What great customer service! Over the next five days we managed to fly at least 15 minutes each day. How could you not with such fabulous wind and great personable instructors. I just want to say thanks to Flip, Norm, Chris, the Derek's and to all of the great staff at SkyVenture Colorado. You guys rock and I can't wait untill I get a chance to come back and fly with you guys again. And to all others if you get the chance to fly SV CO don't make the mistake of passing up such a great opportunity. Peace, Pots, and Microdots, Brett and the "Flyaway Boys" Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  5. Glad you had a great time man. Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  6. Glad you had a great time, it was a blast hanging out with you girls down at the tunnel. P.S. your flying kicked ass the last day I flew with you. Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  7. I work at Flyaway Vegas as an instructor so obviuosly I'm bias, but the tunnel is a lot of fun as long as you keep in mind that it is not a skydiving simulator like you Skyventures. As long as you keep that in mind and come in just looking to have a great time then that is exactly what you'll have. P.S. Borgy if you leave your name and number and when you want to come in I could deffietly hook you up with some discounts for posting this. Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  8. That video is pretty funny, but the act of pushing unknowing skydivers who aren't in your particular group out of the plane can't be safe. I had a good buddy of mine pushed out of the plane on his AFF graduation jump and that was halarious. The instructor told him to look out of the door and spot the DZ. As soon as he stuck his head out of the plane he got a foot to the butt and out the plane he went, chased by his instructor. What made it even funnier is the fact that after he got stable, he flew right up to the instructor, who was having trouble catching him, and the proceeded to out fly his instructor.(He had at least 25 hours of tunnel time before he started his AFF training) Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  9. Considering I went through AFF there I might be a little biased, but seriously the people there are so awesome and helpfull. Once I got off AFF I had no trouble finding people to jump with and I never once had to pay for a coaching jump. The facilities aren't the greatest on the DZ but two casinos are within a mile. If you in Vegas, especially during a boogie go jump at SD Mesquite and rage out at one of the near by casinos at night.
  10. I have a pair of Chuck's with laces plus a velcro strap that I use to hold the laces in place this is probably going to be your best option if you can manage to find a pair at your local cheap clothing/shoe store. Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  11. That is sooo Badass, I can't wait to fly your tunnel on my Europe trip. Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
  12. Where is this tunnel going to be? Don't disrespect just because you can't hang in my tunnel. Here's to blue skys and cool recirculating tunnels.
