staceyg replied to staceyg's topic in Events & Places to Jump
More info to add: Aerodyne will be here. Also.... Advanced 16 & 32-way skydives Aug. 13-16 Two world class 4-way and 8-way competitors, Jim Rees and Paul Leslie-Smith, will each be running a 16-way group, with a combined 32-way formation load at the end of each day. These will be high skilled jumps with progressively challenging dives though out the event. Six 16-way and one 32-way are planned daily. Jumpers just getting to this level are welcome, but will need to come out Thu and Fri for the weekend. Established advanced jumpers join in on a first come basis with preference to people who come out on Thu and or Fri. All safety rules apply. This is a no hook turn event. Brian Buckland will video Jim's group and John McNally will be video with Paul's group. Cost an additional $2 per jump to cover video slot. Sign up with Paul Collins at: [email protected] -

Sorry 'bout that! Here they are (it's not letting me make clickies for some reason): Video by DSE: www.vimeo.com/1222870 It's a Hi-Def video so if you don't have a fast connection, it won't stream smoothly. Just let it buffer. Pix by Scotty Burns: www.sky2productions.com/component/option,com_expose/Itemid,58/ Click on the “Pepperell WS Bootcamp” album. Our boogie is 8/21-24 if you want to see the plane(s) in person! Peace, Stacey -

Did you get the PM I sent you a while back with links to some pics and vids? -
Seeing as all his previous jumps were on rounds and belly mounted reserves he did the full ground school

Two summers ago at Skydive Pepperell, a gentleman came back after a 41 year layoff. He had made about 100 or so jumps in the early '60s and then stopped for work and family. He's 71 now, and still in great shape. Good on him for coming back!

Well....one way to avoid dealing with the TSA would be to ship your gear to us, and ship it back when you leave. UPS, FedEx, and DHL all know where we are! Yes, I know that can be it's own nightmare, but it beats potential hassles by "security" types. Or, we do have rental gear available, if you want to go that route. Hmmm as a matter of fact there's a cute yellow Quasar in the back of the hangar... The closest commercial airport to the DZ is Manchester, NH (MHT). Next closest, but with more flight options, is Boston-Logan (BOS). Any more questions? -

So when are you coming out to visit? Stacey Manifest -
I had PRK in both eyes over 10 years ago. Went from 20/800 (left) and 20/600 (right) to 20/25 (left) and 20/20 (right). My vision hasn't changed at all over time. Insurance didn't cover it, but I consider it some of the best money I've ever spent!

Hi Kefran, I glad you and Dan had a good time here! Hope you get "lost" again soon....I'll be practicing my French! Ciel Bleu, Stacey (manifest)
