Having gone to a parochial single-sex high school (in Chicago, I might add), I can say I did better because I did not have the distraction of chasing skirt when I should have been chasing scholarships to college. People did not spend hours staring at Little Suzie Rottencrotch when they should have been studying History. You did not have to worry about being forced to be around an ex-girlfriend in class after you broke up w/her. The girls I knew that went to single-sex schools appreciated the ability to not spend inordinate time on their appearances to impress the guys. The guys did not pull stupid stunts to establish a pecking order just to impress Ms. Rottencrotch. Social opportunities were there. We just were focused enough to get our shit together beforehand.
