    Lakehurst?

That would have been PIs Lakewood Sport Parachuting Center in Lakewood NJ. Lee Guilfoyle ran the center. It's no longer operating. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  9. Many years ago there was a raunchy riddle going around Raeford, and the clubs at Ft. Bragg: "What's the difference between a skydiver and a pig?" Anyone remember? _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  10. Dennis if you're really interested in having a copy of Jim Hall's book send me a PM or email and I'll tell you where, how, etc. I have lunch with Jim about every other week. Frank _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  11. Fly free Pete. You'll be missed. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  12. Pat, it was good seeing you there. The reading of those names was quite sobering and yet warming at the same time. In a way, those who have gone before us are still very much with us. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  13. Sorry. That's really rough. Hang in there. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!

  16. Corky that is you in the background, for sure. Most likely, as you said, taken at Ft. Carson "back in the day". It has been a long time. Hope you're well _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!

  20. Hey Tall One - I still have mine too but you ain't -a-gonna get 'em! Someplace along the line they even stopped putting the little hanger rings on the wings. I guess that was when they stopped handing out the little hangers. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  21. I remember MEPA meets. I used to be in awe of some of the hardcore competitors (and hardcore beer drinkers after jumping). Folks like Dave DeWolf, Jay Harsh, Bill Jordon, Bob Hilliard, Hugh Bergeron, Tom Bryant, Johnny Crews. Martha Huddleston, and on and on. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  22. Bob and Diane split. Last time I saw her was at Pope Valley CA in '78. Bob operated a couple of DZs near Colo Spgs for a lot of years, the last being Calhan. He gave up that DZ and I don't know where he is now. I think he quit the jump business. Stan McGrew retired from the AF and then flew for the Forest Service. I think he's in Utah or Idaho. Last I heard Scottie Hamilton was in Florida. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  23. I think it had trim but my memory suffers those same years as yours. _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  24. The Littleton Airport DZ was just north of Sedalia on US Hwy 85. It was really more of an 'Airstrip' than airport. It's gone now but Airport Rd is still there. I lived in Colo Spgs so we usually just drove to Canon City but the Lodestar would pick those guys up at Arapahoe Country airport which, after a lot of years and a lot of improvements, became Centennial Airport. Right Jeff? _________________________________________ The older I get, the better I was!
  25. I'll bet you 'camped' in the office.
