The Cooper Festival is non-political and it's not a promotion. It's an INVITATION. A promotion infers we charge money or have something to gain by tossing the festival. We don't. Nobody is selling a thing and we're putting up over $6,000 from our own pockets to do it with not a cent being asked, or being returned to us for all that. Not even a donation button on our website. I removed it.

(Hopefully, you aren't one of those people who believe we should have just ONE main political party in the USA. If we did, they would call us the old Soviet Union.) Elena Filatova, Russia's famous 'Kid of Speed' who has these websites about Chernobyl and other nuke disasters, told me this once. She said back in those days, they sometimes had to offer free drinks to people just to get them to vote.

We are going to allow other Cooper folk to sell things here and there if they wish though. Maybe offer their books, their theories to the crowd, show their videos and all that. I'm not even the host of the event. We're still seeking one. It's a paid position and open to the right person.

I'd do it myself, but most of my responsibilities entail emptying the toilets and refilling the flush water for them. B)

In other news, I would like to know how all the information presented by Flyjack concerning the parachutes given to Cooper reconciles with the document issued by FBI agent John Detlor. It's not that I don't believe, or even agree with Flyjack's assessment. But there have been a couple of stories floating around concerning the chutes. The report by Detlor was issued shortly after the hijacking:

    HaydenCosseyFBIExcerpt2.thumb.jpg.a3ec840eee88585af081ab33a3017f5e.jpg

NOTE: Some years ago, I interviewed Norman Hayden on the chutes. He had not seen the report by Detlor. I sent him a copy. He agreed it was completely accurate, (for his part anyway) and asked for a high-res version, which I sent to him. He printed it up and had it framed for his office.

Interestingly enough, he got the one chute returned by paying a lawyer $250 and simply ASKING that it be returned. All the lawyer did was send a letter to the FBI, and that did the trick. Two FBI agents met Hayden in person he said, and gave it to him. He also said they seemed a bit miffed about having to return it.

I spent YEARS defendng you from idiots here. I enjoyed your outdoor stories, as well as the detailed suspect info in re Kenny. Now all you do is post evey few weeks that you are done posting here, and then post again about your campout. That's fine. Take your leftist shit to Speakers Corner. You'll do fine there.

    EDIT:

And there are folks like FLYJACK who keep adding interesting information, but you drown it out at 5+ to 1. Post real DB info or bow the fuck out. Have your campout (which I would love to attend, but can't).

New video for the 50th Anniversary DB Cooper Festival has been uploaded to YouTube, etc.

It seems like you are here only to post leftist crap and promote your campout.

Well, I am not sure. He let the website lapse about a year or so back and the email address connected to it goes gonzo as well, when you do that. I think Shutter and Bruce S know how to get hold of him. I do have his snail mail address in Alabama, but I can't post that publicly. You should just ask over at the DB Cooper Forum. Someone might have his personal email. But he hasn't been heard from in a while, although word is that he is still alive and kicking, yes. I have wondered occasionally WHY he let the website lapse like that, though. He was one of the first Cooper investigators to cut through the baloney and stick to the known facts. Seems unusual he would just let the site lapse. I know he wasn't hurting for money, and usually it's like $100 a year for the domain name and the web space. Not that much.

We had three more requests today from people wanting on the update list for the Cooper Festival next summer. I put out a recent notice at a website for Nissan owners. I hang out there a lot, and some of them have attended the smaller 'Cooper Campouts' we used to do (pre-Covid, figures...) in the Olympics. My friend Tom E signed up too. LOL he was one of the hardcore people who actually showed up to the failed Mount Hood gathering. It was the only one that did a crash and burn, because we picked a spot a ridiculous distance from Seattle. Got less than ten people total. The others we got at least twenty or more people who showed up.

It's not a real big secret anymore where the Festival will be. We're turning south off the 410 Highway onto one of the Forest Service roads that approach the Mt Rainier National Park border. We won't be going into the park itself, of course. Easy to reach, easy to find, and I sent in the permit application. If they don't respond within ten days, it says, I can assume the permit was approved, and then they make you show up in person to sign the thing. I estimated attendance well over 200 people, but in reality I have no way of knowing how many will actually show up. Can't be over 400, though. I doubt we will get that many so I felt safe setting that as the max, and frankly....even as large as the spot we selected IS...that would definitely reach max capacity. But you have to set a number range for them in your permit (Forest Service). Three or four of us on the Planning Committee will head up there a day or two prior and set up everything. Then we just wait. B) Any Cooper fans in the local Puget Sound area who want to join the Committee can apply at the Festival Page at AB of Seattle. Or...if you can't attend, you can still join the committee and offer your ideas and suggestions. We're even offering to present your material, whatever you have Cooper-related, FOR you to the crowd if you wish. For that, you should contact me personally and we can work on ideas about how this is done. Your best bet is doing it with a USB flash drive. That way, we don't have to worry your DVD won't play, and we could use either the media projector and big screen, or the smart TV. Plus a flash drive is just easier to deal with.

I tested the PA system, mikes, and the stereo/karaoke unit today. Works great and will meet our needs. This combo system I put together will do speaking presentations, play music, and do karaoke on the same system. For video or still shots on Cooper presentations, we can run the smart TV and the DVD player. (Putting your pictures or video on a flash drive is easier. You can skip the DVD player and just plug the USB right into the TV. The remote will control everything on your flash drive easy.)  People can use the remote on the TV to present images one at a time. Or video. Pretty slick way to do it.

For karoake, if anyone is interested in that, you just turn the TV around so it faces the singer, and then run the DVD's into the TV, with the music itself going into the stereo system, and the lyrics show on the screen. Just kill the TV volume so the music only comes through the stereo speakers and there you go. Also tested with the one karoake DVD I have now. Worked fine. I sang 'I'm Into Something Good,' by Herman's Hermits to test it out. LOL. All we need now is a second microphone for the boom stand, just in case someone wants their accoustic stuff amplified as well as their voice. Should be fun by the time we get all this stuff organized and ready.
    I hope. :handok:

One thing I figured out real quick is that doing this is a lot more complicated than just running supplies and gear down to the Ariel Store, like I did in 2016. At least we had regular bathrooms there and electricity available. Now I have to provide those instead. I also ordered a 40x60 light duty tarp to string up over the stage, and to have it go from there to out front where any crowd would be at their tables, chairs, whatever. All of these things are the reason I had to bring in some additional people to assist. There is no way I could either set all this up by myself, or even GET all that gear to the location just in my one truck.

NOTE: We are also seeking a general stage host for this event, someone known in Cooperland. I have no plans to do this myself, mainly because Greg and I will be way too busy in the background making sure everything runs smoothly, i.e. the music, video, shower and toilet setups, the free BBQ and the Lookalike Contest on Saturday, etc. Basically a TON of stuff. Too bad Bruce Smith doesn't answer his emails. I've already invited him twice, I think. No answer. I figure if he decides he wants to be a part of the festival, he will get hold of us sooner or later. But if he waits too long, the opportunity will vanish. Once we reach 400 people total on the email list, I am deleting the two pages about the festival at Adventure Books and we just take a chance on the people already signed up there, and we will freeze on any further attendees. If half show up, I will be happy and my hands will be full. I figure we may reach that point by no later than mid-April 2021.

    I enjoyed his (Sluggo's) posts.

I don't know much about Jo Weber, or even where she lived exactly in Florida...but I did see THIS today:

Only obit with her name I could locate in Florida on short notice. She never contacted me except by email. Several people know quite a bit about her, though. And some of them have spoken to her extensively on the telephone. They would probably know if this is her.

If so, this is too bad. I had no animosity toward the lady.

You know GB, if you are going to keep the identities of witnesses a secret, that's up to you. But in my opinion it is better to just lay out the cards on the table and start naming names. The reason is because you WANT people to try contacting these people to verify things. This is why I named FBI agent John Jarvis, US Navy engineer (civil service) Troy Bentz, Margie and Bernie Geestman, Dawn Androsko, etc. I lay the cards face up and just tell people to check for themselves.

Of course, two of those six people are no longer with us, but their legacy lives on in their testimonies, the report to the Seattle FBI, the videos, the WordPress articles. They ARE and WERE real people.

I still get emails from her @aol.com address.

50-48 a narrow victory for sure but, the Super Bowl can be won be one point.

Is it the divine favor, the prevalence of justice or, simply the low life tactics of the Democrat Party are once again revealed for what they are? Namely, character assassination is all they have. They cannot think up, they can only think down.

Qanon says standby for Red October.

I will be watching every second of it, laughing at the destruction of the left. Q

It is now easier for a known terrorist to buy a gun in this country than it is for an American to vote. But, with their actual factual history of NOT protecting us from terrorists, we all might need a gun. (Ooops, I mentioned history and facts. Sorry Tea Party.)

    You're full of shit.

  7. Stay local and do a "hometown proud" kind of thing. Stand on a street corner with signs and sing peace songs. Stop these murders first, then report back.

Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in the U.S.

    www.neighborhoodscout.com/neighborhoods/crime-rates/top100dangerous/

***Our research reveals the 100 most dangerous cities in America with 25,000 or more people, based on the number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents. Violent crimes include murder, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. Data used for this research are 1) the number of violent crimes reported to the FBI to have occurred in each city, and 2) the population of each city.

    Quote

Sure, bigger cities often have more violent crimes than smaller cities. But they have more people, too. Your chances of becoming a victim of crime may actually be lower in many big cities due to the lower violent crime rate per population.

What is equally interesting is which cities did not make the list: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York are all absent, despite being the centers for some of the largest urban areas in the nation.

But look who did make the list: Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee and Buffalo. These are cities in America’s heartland and Great Lakes regions.

I didn't post any of that. I posted this: http://heyjackass.com/

It's not about providing insurance pay-outs to wrongly injured victims.

It's about making gun ownership more difficult and expensive, in order to discourage it.

    Yup.
