  1. Ok. Thanks for the input guys. Decision time is looming!
  2. Just a quick post to get some views on where to jump in the US at the end of october for around 10days (We'll be flying over from the UK). We're looking for somewhere where the weather will be most likely jumpable (obviously! ;)) and preferably fairly warm. We're not looking to go crazy with the jumping, but if it's possible to do maybe 6-8 jumps per day that's be cool. I would probably prefer somewhere we haven't been yet, although I've nothing against the US drop zones we've been to so far, which are: Eloy Perris Elsinore Deland Perhaps one of the above would be best in October, but anyone out there wanting to big up their local/favourite DZ?!! Thanks, Marcus
  3. Thanks to everyone for the replies. Sound likes a good possibility....still to book flights though, so options are open! Marcus
  4. We (just two of us) were thinking of going to Z-Hills at the end of October for a week to 10 days or so. Can any Z-Hills jumpers (never been there before) tell me if the DZ is usually busy enough mid week to keep the aircraft in the air, i.e are we likely to be able to jump all day throughout the week. Thinking of arriving on a Friday (probably October 26th). Thanks in advance. Marcus
  5. After reading this post a week or so ago, I had a diving spinner over the weekend from a 6k hop and pop on a new line set! Trying to kick them out from 6500 to just under 4000 with no luck, I thought I'd give this technique a try......worked in an instant! Very impressed. FYI, it was on a Velocity 96 at wl of about 2.15..... video attached, and thanks for the post!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS59IHMec9Q
  6. Hey Rugby, Thanks for that. I've a friend who has the lookma system and it looks good......between Lookma and UPT. Just got to decide!!
  7. Hey Skymonkey, Out of interest, can you tell me which removable slider you use? Any chance you've got one on a Velocity you use at terminal deployments? I'm looking to get one and cant decide which to get!! Thanks, Marcus
  8. Thanks for all your comments. Looks like i'll order one and give it a try for myself. Marcus
  9. Hey Rem, Thanks for that. I keep hearing different opinions of whether the PD RDS is ok for terminal openings (the manual says not!), so was thinking of the UPT one (they tell me it's ok at terminal!). BTW...is it the UPT one you use?
  10. Does anyone have experience of the UPT removable slider and/or RDS on terminal openings? I was thinking of buying one and would appreciate any comments/feedback, particularly issues experienced, complexity of system (rigging up/packing time.......haven't actually seen one in the flesh!). Being more specific, anyone out there using one on a Velo?? !!

  12. Thanks Kingbunky. I've no idea how to do that...although I did try to find out, just not very hard!
  13. Hey Alge. Try this link. Looks much better and is a very reputable website http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/8795648/Sony-HDR-CX105E-Handycam-Camcorder/Product.html?cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Electronics-_-Video+Cameras-_-Sony%2BHDR-CX105E%2BHandycam%2BCamcorder%2B(Black)&source=5065&engine=froogle_electronics&keyword=Sony+HDR-CX105E+Handycam+Camcorder+(Black)
  14. 200+ Germans? Are there really 200 of you guys going to be there from 1st until 15th? I suppose we'll have to bring our beach towels and get them on the seats in the plane at 3am !!
