  1. This one time in freefall, a flying saucer came up underneath me and I landed on it and then stood up and surfed it all over the place. For some reason I didn't fall off but was hauling some major ass. Then it took me back to where I was before and dropped me off and I ended my skydive as usual. I guess it happened so fast no one else noticed.

  2. Yeah you beat me to it, I was typing mine while you posted yours I guess.

We used to have wars as well, but we were at least 50 yards away, or further.
We did however launch a balloon from a hill that I'd say was anywhere from 100 to 200 feet high down to a public pool and it managed to hit some poor guy square in the back as he was swimming. It was the funniest damn thing ever. You couldn't make that shot if you tried.

That balloon was definitely at terminal, and that guy got nothing more than a smack on the back. To this day he is probably like how the fuck?

on the thread title, I know a guy who tried to drink from a snapple bottle in freefall. I believe when he took the top off that it was sucked out a bit. I think at some point there would be an equilibrium and water would stay in the cup because the force pulling it out wouldn't be strong enough. I really don't know though.

Well fortunately you don't have to take my word for it because it has been done before. Again, if you want a minidemonstration of what a water ballon can do get a launcher and start shooting shit. They will break windows, dent cars, hurt people, and yes put craters into the earth.
You are right about the balloon popping when it hits something....but when it hits something at 100 miles an hour it is going to do some damage as it pops.

I'll bite. I have a water balloon launcher and have shot many a thing with it. Your right, it can do some damage, but your acting like it's some extreme force. I can dent a car door with my fist, and not using a lot of force. I can break a window with my fist, I can hurt someone with my fist. The difference is at some point the water balloon will break. That breaking point has to do with the amount of water in the balloon and the capacity the balloon is filled to. A balloon filled to the breaking point isn't going to exert much force before it breaks. And one that isn't filled very much should exert more force before it breaks.

I have shot a water balloon very high into the air and watched it hit the ground. No crater. Now if someone were to get hit directly with such object on the head it would probably hurt, but unless you have some super strong balloon that is filled with a good amount of water I'm doubting it will do any more damage to someone than if you smacked them upside the head. It's gonna sting, and you are gonna get wet.

Anyone jump at the colorado DZ in question that can verify such existence of 2 people? Problem solved if so.

So am I to understand we don't have one person who jumps at Colorado skydiving center that posts on here??

Who wants a chick stopping in the middle of a BJ to pull out a hair. Really ruins things, especially if you were almost about to bust, then you are pretty much back to before the BJ started.

That is why ears are like handles :):):o:o:D:D:D

  6. This is creepy. I have the same thing, same side. Cept mine seems to be right on the edge of inside outside. It just hurts to touch right now, and you can't tell anything is there. Not cool though.

Given the embarrassing human waste that has made the term "hot" popular of late...I couldn't use that term.

Funny you caught it that way - I did have to pause to find an acceptable word to use there. It seems to me so long as the vagina is an attractive one :o the term "cute" is just that, acceptable.
    ;)

ok, well I'll let you slide given your supporting evidence :P

now where is that skymama chime in?

  9. Yeah I have to agree that being pulled behind a vehicle doesn't sound appealing.

People do crazy things all the time though, and it works out just fine. The other times, well that is what fills up those extreme crashes shows.

I've seen a video on skydivingmovies.com of some friends of mine from atlanta doing it behind a van using a large square on a cloudy day...

ultimately doing it behind a boat would probably be a little bit safer but probably not much safer... it's still a pretty stupid idea...

What amazed me was the attention to the what if's. They made sure the cutaway was working properly and would work properly under a load. Plus I think the wingloading on the canopy was like .5 :P

The question on the boat is this; how do you plan to get going? On land you would run with the pulling source, not possible on a boat.
I think the best way would be to have a boat capable of 40-50 mph stand at the back and toss the pilot chute out and hope for the best.

I'm kidding on that last part

  12. Agreed!! A bail out is the last thing the auto makers need.
Not long ago the CEO of GM stated that they had been building horrible cars that looked like a box for over 10 years and said he didn't blame people for not buying them.
However what are they still doing? It is improving, designs and all, but do you know at what cost? You would be amazed at the dollars spent on just coming up with a concept for a car. It is ridic!!!

Computer programs can do pretty much all of the details, and building a working CAR prototype should not cost millions of dollars. What are these prototypes made out of? Greed, that is what!

  13. Belly is far from dead. I've seen a few Freeflyers go back to belly.
    Reasons differ.
I was spending my time half and half for the most part. I've went to about 75% belly for over the past year.

  14. First that blows, but I have to say the fraud departments are great at doing their jobs. I had the same happen to me except no charges made it through.
You might want to go back and look over the past few months for a charge under 5 dollars that you don't recognize. That is the test charge to see if it'll work. Most people don't notice them.

My card wasn't stolen either, so it baffles me how the number got out.

And you'll be amazed at how much the cops don't care. They don't have time to go looking for someone in a store surveillance camera. My old roommate had her card stolen and used. She personally found the person through viewing the security camera and placing the person as someone she had seen. Told the cops everything and they did nothing, they have better things to do. It's ridic.
