  1. I've got a p168 loaded the same and I don't get ecc. But my previous canopy a P188 gave me ecc and a 90-270 turn on most jumps, always to the left. i pro-pack both & evenly quarter the slider, but I think I may have rolled the tail too hard on the 188 and could have been catching the left hand end cell(s) in the roll. Is your ecc on the same side every time?
  2. The wheels and belt would accelerate infinately until they disintegrate and the whole thing would collapse or the plane would be launched backwards off the belt!!!
  3. 7 months on Jan 14 for me. But first xmas & new year so a big milestone. (At least I can remember this one!)
  4. Done it a few times both checking in and hand luggage with no problems.
  5. I got the PC1000. Works great even on sunset loads & I got a good deal off the web saving $200! Only 50 jumps so far, but in very wide ranging conditions from FL sunshine to below freezing UK winter!
  6. How do you know your decent rate??
  7. I am interested in how you did this. Did you use any flap? Did you climb out onto the wing first or just dive down behind it? There is not much room between the back of the wing and the elevator on a 140. I have an Arrow 1 which has a similar fuselage and have often thought how I would go about jumping it!!
  8. Are you saying that if you have an E1-11, it will cover you for all medical expenses including airlifts to hospital if required? I've always thought these were a waste of time but I guess not if that is the case
  9. Try flying in deep brakes then letting them up before applying front riser. This lightens the riser pressure and is lots of fun Do this up high and talk to an instructor first.... It works for me
  10. Looks like he actually lets the brakes off a bit just before landing!
  11. Buying first camera kit for fun jumping (freeflying)... Whats a good set up? I'm thinking of Sony PC1000 with Headshield Sidemount helmet & 'C' bracket & jacket. Any comments or advice greatly appreciated! Edited coz I can't get PC101 or 105 any more!!
  12. My 1st canopy was a silhouette 210 (loading1.0). Fantastic canopy, no bad openings
  13. That's one deep spot! Don't suppose he got back to the dz even with being under canopy at 9,000'

    dbag

If you have a split g4 bag and are hating life here is a good tip to make closing it easier. On your locking stows that close the bag, use a pull-up cord threaded through the rubberband just as you would on your closing loop. It makes it much easier to handle and get it through the two grommetsthen trying to finger tip the rubberband through two grommets. What 2 grommets? I put the first (central) stow through the grommet on the other side of the split and make the first stow there so it is only holding the split closed, not the bag. Then use the 4 stows opposite the 4 grommets on the lid to close the bag so each stow only goes through one grommet. Is that wrong? I can't see any other way to do it! Edit 4 spellin!

Quoteany tips for packing it then? I always feel like its hard to find where to put the canopy in it, because it doesn't have a 'definate' shape with the split... reply] I fold as a normal pro-pack, then wedge my knees against the bottom of the canopy to keep the lines taut and then work the bag around the canopy, one side first, then stuff the other side in! Once its in, roll the bag forwards like normal and stick your knee on it to keep it there and stop the canopy coming out while you make the first stow to close the split. Then stow as a normal bag.

I like my G4 split bag (without velcro). Its easy to get the canopy in and the last locking stow is cental which I guess helps with an even deployment. I have a new G4 on order and I'm going for a split bag again (but then its the only type I've ever owned)!
