OK, so here's the situation. On my old laptop (PC) I had a premiere elements, and I was just about done our DZ's year end video. My computer then took an unfortunate journey down the stairs, and it was no longer useable, but I was able to recover the HDD from it. I Just bought a new computer (Mac) and got Premiere Pro. When I attempt to open the project file, it says that it was created on a previous version of Premiere and will not open on a Mac. Does anyone have a workaround for this? I'm of the same opinion as sparky. If you're competing at en extreme level (worlds, etc...) they might be beneficial, but other than that, I think they're just snake oil. I use an Optima and a Viso, both by L&B and I would highly recomend them. The guide mode on the Optime (series of beeps getting faster and faster until your landing turn altitude) and the +/- 10ft accuracy on the Viso were incredibly helpful when refining my setup.
