    To me if somebody says "it's jumpeable", that includes all aspects of the jump. If I say it's jumpeable I mean all aspects of the jump. I don't think anything was being put out of context.

    The day someone does, your humour and HIDGAF attitude will stand for nothing and there will be no one laughing with you.

    What makes it worse for me is that with all your experience I am sure you have seen what the mangled up body of someone who has just gone in looks like.

    So go ahead, keep antagonising Mac, you're cool, you're funny and you've got more experience than most of us put together, so you pretty much know exactly what you're in for.

  3. You're right, I am probably a closet homosexual. I think my sexual relationship with my wife is medication enough to revert those feelings and a BASE jump once in a while keeps the testosterone up. Although with no jumping lately I can feel my wrists are starting to loosen up. i will worry when I start using words like 'fabulous' and 'smashing' or start discussing with my wife which tone of green is best for the bedroom curtains...

  5. ye, i used to be in love with Laura; Mary was the pretty one but Laura had the cool personality; then there was the 'A' Team and I forgot all about her.
    Only day off and it's windy; this sucks!

    Oh, and a case of beer if you're a guy and you can sit through the whole of "Gone with the wind". Although if you can, you're probably gay in which case I'll give you some white wine.

  6. First of all, English is not the other me's mother tongue. Add a bit of dislexia and he is an easy target. Bar the antisemitism and sexism, he is a pretty good guy overall and I will almost stand up for him sometimes.
    Second, that's just your opinion man and I am like soooooo HIDGAF about it you can't even begin to realize, like a million times infinity and like the little house in the prairy or gone with the wind, I can't remember where he says: "Frankly Scarlet, I just don't give a damn!"

    Do you still jump?
    I used to jump TM quite a lot from the lookout but I have not yet jumped the go and throw...

    Hmmmm Hex river. Some nice spots down that way.
    The farmer won't let us park our cars on the land anymore and you have about a 6 hour hike from the road to get to the base camp...
    I miss it, that's REAL BASE jumping.

  13. Got 1 in on my day off :)
    Early this morning, first solo in months. Woke up at 4 and just couldn't get back to sleep so got my gear together and drove to my favorite spot. There is something magic about that place and being there so early in the morning. 82 jumps off that object and still not getting bored of it...

  15. Hi Tom

    That E has a few exit points, all pretty gnarly jumps as far as the freefall part but nice long canopy rides after; sunset jumps are simply surreal. That mountain ahs had a fair share of cliff strikes.
    The B's in town don't get jumped much; in fact, on occasion for movie and advert shoots. I don't worry too much for them and don't even have my B; with a normal job starting at 8, I can get up, go to my favorite cliff, and get back home before 7:30 in the morning. I am a bit of a hippie and am not too much into the whole stealth trespassing ninja stuff;

    Still also don't agree with the 'death camp' denomination. Some BASE jumpers may think differently but whenever I (and most other people)hear the term, the names Auchwitz and the like come to mind. To me BASE and National Socialism should have nothing to do with each other.

    I also wanted to die once. Never went as far as you did but I think I can relate to being that depressed and desperate.
    Respect for stepping up.

    If it can help at all, whenever I feel the shit is about to hit the fan, I always tell myself that there is somebody somewhere in much worse a situation than I am. And it's true. It is a difficult thing to be saying to yourself at the time because nothing seems to make any sense or have any purpose but you've just got to force it in. Take this advice with a pinch of salt because I know enough about those things to be dangerous, but it has worked so far for me.

    You seem sincere and I wish you well on your return to the objects. If you're not sincere that's also fine because I am thousands of miles away and somebody else will have to deal with your crap:P
