  1. Talking to non-skydivers is even tougher when you are injured as a result of skydiving. That is one of the worst things about it too- you can't hide that you got hurt skydiving and all of the whuffos are going to judge you for it and make disrespectful remarks. It drives me crazy~ My argument is that it doesn't matter HOW you got hurt. If I blew out my knee playing soccer it's ok, but it's not ok when I did it on a landing? So when people have been asking me, "How did you do it (injure your knee)?", I respond, "Does it matter?" http://3ringnecklace.com/

  4. You are over 18. You are an adult. You can make your own decisions. I made my first tandem when I was 18. I told my Mom that I went jumping only after I did the jump. She didn't like it when I got into either. Over 10 years later, she did a tandem and brags about it to everyone she meets. She has pictures of me jumping in her office and brags about me to everyone that comes into her office. Do what you want to do. Live YOUR life. If you want to jump, then jump. If you don't want to, then don't. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  5. I heart Chuting Star- I'm very loyal to them and I always recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy gear. Top notch service! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  6. : 13: ! 10 tandems, 3 fun jumps. for first tandem out of an Otter, first tandem puker, and 1000 jumps! Lippy arranged the pieing~ he got me good! Love you Sweetie! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  7. Jumpdude? Is that you? http://3ringnecklace.com/
  8. I was at a boogie when a double fatality happened. I did not see it happen but it shut down operations until the next day. The winds were sucking that day anyhow so I was not jumping. As far as an injury incident, I would keep jumping. If someone is so shaken up that they do not jump, that is their decision. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  9. I LOVE getting my teeth cleaned! It is so relaxing, I get to lay down, keep my clothes on, it's painless, and my teeth feel so clean afterwards. I have great teeth so getting them cleaned keeps them that way.
  10. Lily is my lil bundle of trouble...I mean joy. This pic is when I first got her. She was sick and skin and bones. She's healthy now and is probably 11 pounds. It's a good thing I rescued her from the shelter because not long after I adopted her, the shelter had a fire and lots of animals died. She loves to dive bomb my bed all night long and has taken a liking to clawing at the bedroom mirror nonstop. Still, gotta love her. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  11. No one is hot in a Boston Red Sox hat. Period. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  12. I played the flute for about 10 years. I played the oboe for 2 years and I also took some piano lessons. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  13. Dropzone drama, bad attitudes, sky gods, alcohol culture. Funerals are the worst though. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  14. I agree with MAsterYoda. The fear never really goes away completely, but that's a good thing. The fear keeps you alive. The fear will eventually get less and less overwhelming and more and more controllable. Make sure to take slow, smooth breaths in the plane, focus on what TO do during the jump rather than the "what ifs," and remember to smile.
  15. : 10: Started throwing drogues again after hurting my knee on a landing back in May. It felt great to be working with students again. Also did an AFF Level 1 and the student did great. The instructors at Skydive Dallas are so much fun to work with. Five more jumps to 1000! AND, I got to spend time with the most awesome guy EVER, so it would have been a great weekend no matter what! Love ya Lippy!! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  16. It's normal to not be able to concentrate on work no matter HOW long you've been jumping! Almost a 1000 jumps later, I still only think about the weekends~ http://3ringnecklace.com/
  17. I wouldn't recommend using show laces as a pullup cord. Apparently there was a fatality because someone used one as a pullup cord and the plastic end of the shoelace interfered with the deployment. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3449704;search_string=shoelace;#3449704 http://3ringnecklace.com/
  18. I have no idea what you're talking about http://3ringnecklace.com/
  19. Skydive Dallas is the biggest dropzone in north Texas. It's got a great vibe and wonderful instructors. www.skydivedallas.com http://3ringnecklace.com/
  20. Don't get hurt your on your first jump...then again, don't get hurt PERIOD. Spending the rest of your vacation watching people jump would just plain suck. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  21. There's your problem. I got one of those AADs because I have a credit card. Case closed. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  22. Take SkyMama's advice and go to an ENT before pursuing skydiving. I have seen someone blow a sinus in freefall and it is not pretty! Best of luck! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  23. : 7: 0 Flew video for 4 way team, did some freefly jumps, and one hop and pop (due to incoming weather). It was hot as hell but an awesome weekend nonetheless. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  24. Harley- no way. I used the think that guys on sport bikes were very attractive. But after being treated like shit by a guy who had one, I don't feel that way anymore. All I see is "TROUBLE." Fuck that. http://3ringnecklace.com/
