  1. yeah that picture just shows that we are all born to want to fly. i can tell hes gunna be a base jumper or just keep jumping off furnature his whole life. blue skies
  2. With everyone talking about hard landings and all... they should just make a giant sponge square pit, kinda like what begginning skaters do flips on in skateparks and whatnot. and should have one at every dz. that way.. if u crash .. no broken legs. just a wierd idea i just thought of. but i did myself have a pretty hard landing on my first jump.
  3. here is the highest skydive attempted check it out http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/2241175.stm Very interesting..
  4. Hey man thats awesome. It's good to know you had a good experience. My first jump was at 14,000 ft. It was incredible also. I was also the last jump of the day. so they decided to take it a little higher than usual. and maybe because i had waited for 3 and a half hours to go.. they were a little behind on jumps.. I have also found my hobby, skydiving! its going to be a journey to say the least. im about to start my aff course here in the next month or so. can't wait! i really wish i could find a place that would let me jump from 17,400, maybe even higher. well hey, good luck with everything and keep us updated on your jumps.
  5. What age did you all start skydiving? and how old are you now? Im just starting at 18 goin on 19 in a few weeks. heh..
  6. haha another typo.. i mean to say. IM NOT going to rely on it.. damn keyboard...
  7. thanks everyone for your input. I didnt really mean it to save my life in a malfunction.. you know what i mean.. typo on my part. im going to rely on one to save my life but.. i was just curious as to if they use them in aff. well thanks anyways =-)
  8. I am going to start my aff course in the next week or 2. and i was wondering, am i going to be using an add? do most dz's use aad on all their aff students? I am just curious. Iv been reading up on them and they seem to help out alot in case of a malfunction. i would feel safer having one. Thanks =-) p.s - for any begginner or just anyone who hasnt bought the book parachuting: the skydivers handbook. you need to get it. it is the skydiving bible.
  9. hmmm i dont think i wanna go that far.. thanks anyways
  10. Where is the nearest wind tunnel to gladewater tx.. that is where my dz is. its east texas. thanks

Thanks a bunch. by the way, what did u mean when u said they failed on the radio? what happend? And i am going to do the course in about a week or maybe 2 id say.. when i can get the money to start it up
  12. I am just starting my level 1 aff next week.. i did a tandem once.. thats it tho. So about the aff.. im really nervous to be jumping out on my own and having to steer the parachute on my own.. i dont wanna freakin run into a tree or somthing. is it relatively easy? or what? i need some advice from someone who has already finished it.
  13. well.. i just did my first tandem today.. it was AWESOMEEE. best thing iv done in my life.. and i DO NOT regret anything... it was worth everything. I will deff. be doing the aff classes and doing this over and over again.. im getting a really good job so money wont be too big of an issue.
