  3. Had the Handbury when they first came out...cool looking red velcro reserve handle with the yellow kevlar ripcord.Very comfortable rig in its time.
  4. There was an article in TNT ( Truth,News,Trends) the month of the WTC jump.Pretty cool.....Wish I still had those rags.
  5. Yea.That was John Cutts' LSU Tiger DC3......as I remember we did a 24 and 25 way one weekend there.Other names from Magee: Larry Hall,KD,Suger Britches(Nancy) of course Travis,Hank Porter,Donna Porter.

Oh Yea....Bubba and the rev were padnas of mine.I train retrievers for a living,and Bubba had one trained and worked with me quite a bit.Really nice feller.Jones is building homes and just built him a nice one .Both are doing very well. I remember we did a jump demo into a bar on the river,and getting into a gang fight.....Bubba yelled that his brother was in Nam...as he broke the dudes arm!!!I was laughing at that while getting my ass kicked
  11. hey...The Herbie Hog had the pilot chute pouch on the riser....it was easy to throw out,and was cutaway eliminating the horseshoe mal...if it got stuck in the pouch.I really liked it because in freefall it was right next to your head easy to see and grab.Alot of closed minded people thought it was sport death....but they didnt look at the practicality of it.It was just "different". At least there werent people bouncing with a twisted bellyband like the wonderhog started out with!

  16. Man...I was stylin with a orange and white TT that had been dyed yellow,therefore making the lines and all the white...yellow,with the orange still orange!I was light so I could flare it(risers) and stand it up most of the time.

  20. Had one of those handbury rigs.Kevlar reserve ripcord! Red soft reserve handle! cool looking....never had to use it though.i believe it had R3 cutaway releases........
  21. We did one in seventies Greg King and Greg Smith holding the hoop.We had 11,I was last out and gregs were waving me through at breakoff time....they held the round down to 1400 but I got to grips,therefore no number.They received numbers in low twenties.It was a gas for me anyway.

  23. I brought my 32.50 to Southern Parachute in Aug 72 but they had all gone to the nationals.Fearing I would spend all that money....I buried it behind the outhouse in a sweetroll wrapper.I came back the next week and made my first jump.Leon Riche was my JM.
