  1. You wouldn't happened to know a Russ Velsor ,Pilot from Cornwall, NY would you?
  2. I just finished AFF and that was my problem area. I was not thinking "Pelvis" "Push with the Bush" is the most helpfull info they can give to you! Forget legs...think pelvis pushed and ONLY toes pointed. You will get it. I was not pushing enough and kept backsliding. I still feel awkward giving advice because I don't have 10,000 jumps but fuck it! Think pelvis "stick it in her" or" get it in you" (female) with just pointed toes! Good luck.

    Frustration

Don't feel so bad I survived my 18th skydive last wednesday but tripped on a damn dog bone on the ground! The key might be to show up so tired that your looking forward to that relaxing freefall time, worked for me...(hope for no malfucntion of course) God damn Railroad life!
  4. I hear ya! Is that sidewinder helmet snag proof? I would love to fly a video camera someday...but only if its snag proof...lets just hope the gromets on our own rig clear first!
  5. Hey Merrick! Ponca City! I worked out of Enid, OK on the railroad before I started jumping. Do you jump out at Cushing? You might know "Buddy" Rogers.
  6. A student Javalin, I don't know the model, I don't think it was ever converted. (And I'm not sure I know what I'm tlking about).
  7. Have rigs with no exposed bridle made sit flying very safe? What are some opinions on sit flying using student gear with some bridle exposed from the BOC pilot chute pouch?
  8. Thanks for the input bored or not. Your'e not in the air so of course you're bored! Life just aint the same is it?
  9. I have no clue about this but don't pilots get some kind of chart, book, flight briefing that says "dropzone...people falling in the sky at 120 mph or faster"? When I see a strange plane flying around the dropzone I think to myself " great! not only do I need to look out for gliders but now I'm going to crash through this asshole's wing. As a student a good arch means head up...not looking for joy flyers...or does that come later?
  10. While I'm very new to this sport (18 jumps) I have often wondered why I haven't seen a jumper with a cd player neatly strapped to his chest strap as the neatly tucked ear phone wires disappear into his sound retardant helmet. I'm sure it has been done but I wonder why it is not more popular.(It may be...I just haven't seen it) Certainly nothing would get me more in the mood to jump than a few motivating tunes. If you can fly tubes, rafts, and whatever surely tunes can come along. Does this sound crazy?
