What were you modeling for? I was doing some shots for a local magazine here in Denver last summer...nothing big, but I needed some more shots for my portofolio....I did a bunch more and am currently signed with a company part time out of Boston... And John, thanks very much for the compliment...I like Gregory Hines alot and I've never heard anyone say that...

The second is a recent pic I did for a modeling shoot... The first is of two of my good friends in my acapella group from school... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  4. ACME, ESPN does have one, its called Gamecast. Just go onto ESPN.com and click one of their games that are flashing "LIVE" and a window should open. Once it does, the games will be across the top and you should be able to switch back and forth between various games. YAY for college football!! Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

  7. Thank you....that's all I was trying to say. I wasn't trying to start anything. And I have no problem stepping back to apologize...however, I ended the conversation and she continued to make comments even after I was done. I was merely defending what my original post was SUPPOSED to say, which is exactly what simplyputsi captured.... As I said, I do apologize, but at the same time, her initial tone in the first post of "just because you say its that way, then it must be" didn't sit well with me, so I defended myself and if I'm wrong for that fine.... I believed Bikerbabe because she wasn't obnoxious about seeing it and saying that I was wrong, which I appreciated. But what it came down to was that I didn't believe it was real because of lack of disturbance and then Chelle jumped off at me about all this other stuff. I even admitted that her picture was real. Props to her for standing her ground but don't expect me to kiss anyones ass (not saying anyone said that) and back down from something I believe. I will fight until I'm wrong and expect anyone else to do the same, but when it starts to get to the point when snide comments are being made, thats different. Jtval, i respect you and will take to heart what you said. If anyone else does have a problem or an issue concerning what I said, PM me as I really don't care for discussion (open or not) about me when I'm not here to defend. (i'm here now but not on a computer 24/7). This picture is real. There. Does that make everyone else feel better? Chelle I'm sorry, I never was trying to say it wasn't real, so I'm not sure where all the confusion came from. It seems as if simply is one of the few people (that I know of) who got what I was trying to say. Jewels, you're a sweetheart and thats why I love you...thank you And you're damn right I have an ego. I went to the University of Michigan, we're known for being cocky and I'm damn proud of it Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

    Damn!

That's probably the most amazing and ingenious idea I've ever seen. Wow...definite props to this guy. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

  10. Isn't that just an extreme version of the little swirly goodies we sometimes see coming off the wingtips of something even as small as a 182? Not really, those are wingtip vorticies and are caused by a disturbance in the boundary layer (airflow) flowing over the wing. Its a difference in pressure between the top edge and bottom edge of the wing, but not a drop in pressure, as it becomes regulated again at the trailing edge. And Bikerbabe, thanks you, if you've seen it, then thats all the proof I need. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  11. Can't comment about what happens during the show, as phreezone stated. I CAN COMMENT on things that I know about, such as you saying that being near the speed of sound isn't breaking the sound barrier. Seriously, I feel bad for you. That's all i'm going to say because anything more and I will get kicked off. I just hope I never get the chance to meet you in real life. Have a great day!!
  12. Oh the irony. Phreezone see what I mean...she continually just instigates the entire situation. There's no irony. No I've never been there but can still comment. Just like I've never met you, but that's not going to stop me from having really bad preliminary notions of what kind of person you are..... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  13. Cool... Well yes that I know....because of air pressure at sea level. I was just wondering even with breaking that cloud, it should cause a disturbance of some sort, but I've never been to SF to see this in person, so I can't comment. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  14. Thank you....thats an argument I agree with... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  15. Wow, ok, since you want to challenge me on this and step up to the plate, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_barrier Know what you're talking about before you try to disprove people who might have some sense and know what they're talking about...ESPECIALLY when it comes to their field of study... That link doesn't disprove anything I just said about airshow sonic booms, but thanks. Your picture didn't happen at an airshow, so makes that a relevant argument....omg, you're ridiculous...fuck this... You obviously know all; there is to know. Maybe we should just rename the website to Conundrum.com When you fly at or near the speed of sound, you get ready to break the SOUND BARRIER....who the fuck cares about airshows... And the condensation is due to vapor pressure and gas around the aircraft.....fuck that, i'll stick to talking to people who have some kind of sense Here is a direct quote from one of my posts: "It's just on the cusp of breaking the sound barrier, which is why it has the vaopr/condensation cloud around it." Which is exactly what you just said. So, I'm not sure why you're telling me I'm wrong about breaking the sound barrier. Also, if you want to tell me to "shut the fuck up" feel free to say it here and not in the PM you sent me. I dont care....shut the fuck up.... Hows that? Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  16. No I didn't take the pic. Didn't pshop it either. I'll try to find the source again. And this isn't a cut against you man....if its a reputable source, thats cool...its a great pic nonetheless and I love the Blue Angels... I was just curious about it... 18. No I just presented what I believed to be fact...excuse me for doing so because I have a degree in aeronautics and astronautics and work at an aerospace company and can explain? Can you?? I just know what my engineering sense tells me should be happening...its not about what I'm seeing, its about what I know and my understanding of physics, aerodynamics, and gas dynamics and propulsion... Just because someone doesn't agree with your "word" don't get all pissy....if you dont like it, then dont post on here...stop taking everything so personal.. I'm welcome to my own fucking opinion....if its not photoshopped then I'll apologize, but I'm still welcome to believe what I want... If you dont like it....too bad Say whatever you want man, I don't give two shits really. Just saying that I do not believe the picture to be fake. You're claiming otherwise because you have a degree in aeronautics and astronautics. You must be right. /reply] No i'm claiming otherwise because my knowledge points to reasons why it might be fake. You're going off of things you "think" you know..... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

  21. Not to be the negative one, but did you take that pic? That just seems photoshopped to me? For it to be that close to the water and going that fast and not causing any disturbance in the water. There's barely a shadow on the water as well... I'm just finding it hard to believe...not to mention the jet blast it would produce on the boats beside it and water as i said... It's real. Myabe you're failing to realize just how fast the jet is going. It's just on the cusp of breaking the sound barrier, which is why it has the vaopr/condensation cloud around it. In a picture, you wouldn't see any ill effects of it's passing because they haven't happend at that point yet, but I'm sure you could see some water (and maybe boat) movement afterward. No its not. There's no way. I do realize how fast the jet is going. I'm an aerospace engineer so I definitely know how fast it needs to go to break the sound barrier. It's what I do everyday... However, previous to that condensation cloud, it was below the point of breaking the barrier, which means the sound and timing of the sound/disturbances should be proportional. Once the actual barrier is broken, then you would see the lapse in time. Just as it produces a condensation cloud, some sort of water disturbance should be happening as well. Nothing big, but splash off or rogue waves should be forming. Also with the angle that the waves that SHOULD be formed by the jet and where the boats are placed, you should see in the distance behind it, boats being lapped by the wake of the water from the jet.... And yes in your picture you proved my point. There is disturbance from the water up until the point of the actual sound barrier being broken, you can see a disturbance. There's no white water, no waves, nothing. It would still carry a disturbance before hitting the sound barrier as speed and the time in which it passes one point wouldn't be inverse to each other until after that cloud. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
