  1. Story from this past weekend: Was at my (foster) parents house an hour north for a mini family reunion with dad's side. Uncle Bob (UB from here on), the second oldest brother (and oldest living - almost 71) came with cousin Ben. UB is a somewhat of a close-minded bigot, but I think it is mainly just in expressing opinions and not how he actually treats people (but I can't confirm). UB also likes to bitch and moan about politics, but fortunately there was almost no political discussion! Yay! There was also no mention of the negative stories during olympics discussion! Anyways...the Louisiana Floods came up and UB mentions "punishment from God" due to them living immorally and that he'll target Berkeley next. Fortunately, mom shot him down right away, mentioning how God spared Sodom & Gomorrah due to just one righteous person and if that were the case for Berkeley, why are we still here? UB couldn't reconcile that and shut up. Next subject!
  2. To analyze it though, it looks like his left hand hitting the bar was what knocked it off (but his dick helped! ). Anyways, it looks possibly erect and pointing down. How the heck can a guy be erect during an athletic competition?!? It would be small and "tucked away". Funny though!
  3. Trump is a politician? That's news to me. He could potentially BECOME a politician though since he's running for POTUS.
  4. One can hope....(I'm in the hoping camp as well)...
  5. A third party candidate for the upset (one can wish). But...maybe not so crazy? Only 9% chose Trump and Clinton
  6. same question here haha.. Post 20 summed it up well. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4601567;search_string=Sky%20board;#4601567 When I was new to the sport around 2003-4, I remember asking someone about skysurfing who had done it a few times. He said that it looked good on camera (e.g. Patrick Gayardon/Rob Harris), but wasn't that fun to do in his opinion - just like doing a bunch of flips by yourself in freefall. The normal skydiving disciplines were more fun. Note: for the newbies, Harris died while filming a Mountain Dew commercial in 95 and Gayardon died in 98 due to a rigging error (either his pilot chute or main accidentally stitched to the container). But there is cool footage online if you're interested - especially on the Good Stuff DVD.
  7. Yes...and also ad regulatory agencies and business partners. Things done contrary to the desires of the CEO/company have to be done for regulatory or business relationship reasons. It's called negotiating and compromise.

Making fun of the "white elevator" when there is also a "red elevator" and a "blue elevator" doesn't make sense. But as you demonstrated with the songs, there is plenty other material to use.
  9. The popcorn is bought and wants to watch the carnage.
  10. I read her weekly column, but yeah....the snark is THICK! I call her more a bitchy cheerleader for the right. It's really not that long of a weekly column and sometimes I like it...but many times it's like she can't think of anything useful to argue about and belabors some meaningless event that no one cares or ought to care about.
  11. Trump is worse. Trump is worse. Trump is worse. Trump is worse. Do Muslims hate Germany more because they are ruled by a woman? Shit, the Brits are about to choose a female PM, I guess Muslims will hate them more now. This is fucking stupid argument. How would Trump fix the system? But what if we could get the conventions to select non-ClinTrump? Incite a rebellion! (Or, uh....persuade the delegates.)
  12. Paulson may be 100% correct, but it is rather precious to hear this from one of the 25 people responsible for the financial crisis (named by Time magazine from his time at Goldman Sachs). Of course, unfortunately people have a short term memory (especially for financially related things where someone is not convicted of anything).
  13. I was about to post this since I a friend just posted to FB, but you beat me to the punch. But I like my friend's intro to his link: "It would probably be simpler if instead of a retirement party for long time politicians we threw them an indictment party, with all the fixins. Including orange jumpsuit cake, plead the 5th martinis, and roasted pork."
  14. I've had similar...except that I don't "go in", but end up magically slowing down and gently landing on my feet at the last second...and always think its weird even during the dream. Sounds like a wingsuiter dream. I hear ya....but I've only been wingsuiting for a couple years now. These dreams happened well before so I wouldn't really have the reference. It was more like a superman flying thing.

  16. But isn't what they did cut and dried treason (confessed)? If they want back, then apply the full weight of the law. But wait...our prisons are full and we don't want any more...and capital punishment is so un-PC now. Leave 'em to rot in the Mid-East and never allow them back in. Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States. (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 807; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(2)(J), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.) https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2381
  17. Fine. Google provides these two links. Newsweek at least ok? http://www.dutchnews.nl/features/2015/07/rise-in-euthanasia-requests-sparks-concern-as-criteria-for-help-widen/ http://www.newsweek.com/2015/02/20/choosing-die-netherlands-euthanasia-debate-306223.html
  18. So what. Is the info correct or not? I believe it references official reports.
  19. They must really love their old people in the Netherlands. http://www.lifenews.com/2016/05/09/shocking-report-shows-5561-people-were-euthanized-in-the-netherlands-in-2015/
  20. I have to agree... The word "terrific" has come to mean "really great" whereas it originally meant "inspires terror..." "Awesome" meant "to inspire awe" and not "very cool..." "Literally" meant "actually" and not "I-swear-it's-so-freakin-unbelievable-that-I-have-to-exagerate-the-shit-out-of-it." However, worse than that is what you say: using vague words to get a reaction from (ignorant) people. One of our interns was telling a story which I doubt is true... She claimed her friend and her got detained during an airport security check because her friend's luggage didn't pass the swab test for explosives... And apparently what set off the explosives detector were the "chemicals" found in her make-up... Because she had SO MUCH makeup it made the machine beep (because wouldn't ya know her friend worked for L'Oreal)... And doesn't that just scare you that they put the same stuff in bombs as you put on your FACE??? And to this I answered: if you were told that "water" was an essential component/ingredient in the fabrication of bombs, does that mean you should stop drinking water??? I just call that stupidity as opposed to changing word meaning or misusing words.
  21. Sure, I'm sure a bunch of brainwashing occurs. But I think there is a lot out there who are not brainwashed per say, but just stupid or ignorantly/lazily adopt the jargon because everyone else is using it. Sheeple/lemmings, etc.
