  3. I just would like to comment that I am really happy with PD customer service. I was having probs with the openings. The slider wanted to stay up causing the canopy to twist and turn during the snivel phase. I contacted PD and it turned out that the sliders come in 2 sizes and I had the bigger size. They sent me a temporary replacement (they did not have one in my colors in stock) to check if the openings improved. They did, I sent back my old one and the temporary replacement and made me a smaller one. No costs. Excellent!
  4. HARHARHAR I WILL quote you on that one! - - - - - - - - - We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!
  5. I've been jumping a Triathlon 120 competition setup for 3 years (800+ jumps) without brakes set. With a spider instead of slider (for forward speed, not the opening). No problems. The Tri definitely opens faster (harder) than the Lightning. Pros: Softer (yes) openings Quicker to fly to the formation Cons: The spins are a lot quicker and violent This is of course for competition use. Why bother for recreational CReW? I don't think it gives much advantage on a Lightning. Probably you willhave a harder opening. The only way to find out is to try (we did). If you like it: good, if you don't: you know. 6. In our DZ we take a ride with a van from the landing area to back to the hangar. Every once in a while we find a group of tandempassengers (in fluorescent yellow jumpsuits) waiting for it trying to get rid of the pressure on their ears by jumping up and down while holding their ankles. They are told by the 1 person in the entire DZ they trust (TM) that it is a very effective way of clearing their ears. Whenever we walk up we ask them if they have trouble with their ears. They all agree it's improving after a few tries... - - - - - - - - - We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!
  7. Because of TM and passenger beiing so close together only one suit will do the flying. Theoretically the TM one, as lift is generated off the top of a wing. Can't help feeling that because of the loading 92 persons body weight) the wings will not function and work more as regular camera wings and not as wingsuit wings. - - - - - - - - - We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!
  8. My experience with the Sabre 2 is one whole jump and landing (not always garanteed in my case to land the same canopy I jump...). Very nice canopy, responsive on toggles and light on front risers. Not sure if this might be caused by your brakelines. I have a lot of jumps on a Triathlon with deep brake settings (CReW competition set-up) which does not have an effect on front riser pressure. You might want to check the line length against another same sized specimen. It is also likely that your experience is influenced by your frame of reference. What canopy did you jump before this one? - - - - - - - - - We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!

  10. Strong systems use an inflated drogue as an inflated pilot chute to open the container and subsequent opening sequence. Vector systems collapse the drogue and only use their drag to open the container and subsequent opening sequence. When pulling the drogue release on Vectors the pulling force on the pin (which was on the 3ring / disk) is lowered (as the drogue collapses). This causes a delay in which you have the sensation of falling away from your drogue. This happens both on Vector II and Sigma. You probably know this (I hope). - - - - - - - - - We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!

Or you can treat it as if it is 'on' the rag. It sounds more like that. - - - - - - - - - We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!
  12. Hi Bob, It'd be nice to jump with you! At that time we're preparing for our nationals, but we should be able to squeeze in/out some jumps for the occasion! Try this website: www.para-teuge.nl which is the dropzone's. Phone number for the office is +31-55-3231617. 14. Hi CReW dogs, CF Spektakel (http://fly.to/cfspektakel) is one of the main Canopy Formation events in Europe. This year's event will be held from 5-13 July in Teuge, The Netherlands. To spice things up for the upcoming event we have contacted David Richardson from the US and have invited him to come over. He is willing to host a European selection for the upcoming World Record attempt in Florida. David Richardson was one of the organizers of last years unofficial CF World Record and the 5 - 50ways preceding it. Also the Co- Organizer of the Brazilian and Argentinean CF Records. He is currently one of the four organizers for this years CF World Record (Chris Gay, Mike Lewis, David Richardson, Mark Gregory) that will be held in November in Florida. He is interested in coming to CF Spektakel to give anyone who is interested a chance to "qualify" for an invitation to the CF World Record Team. We would like to know if there is enough interest to bring him to Teuge. We are speeding things up a bit in order for everyone to be able to make arrangements at work and for travel. So if you have not been contacted yet but are interested in joining this selection possibility just let us know directly at [email protected]. Roel PS While he is there, David is also interested in doing "regular" coaching jumps and organising formations for people who just want to make high quality jumps. - - - - - - - - - We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!
