  1. So.....looks like I may be getting stationed in Ramstein, Germany. Any good dropzones nearby?
  2. Great advice and my wife, always thinking WAY ahead of me, already has hooked me up with a medic-alert bracelet:-)
  3. Thanks so much for the detailed information, I really appreciate you taking the time. That helps a lot. I have spoke with the doctor who preferred other activities, but said to just be careful. I agree, still safer than most contact sports.
  4. Yeah, I'm sure your right. Doctor said to just be cautious.
  5. I was wondering if there were any skydivers out there on the blood thinning medication, Plavix. I'm 36 and recently had a brain angioplasty to open a blood vessel (was previously having stroke symptoms). The blood vessel is open with no symptoms since the procedure, but I have to remain on Plavix, which make bleeding very inconvenient when cut. I desperately want to get back to jumping but would like to know if other people out there are on the same medication or if it just isn't worth the risk. Thanks!
  6. Oh, Man....I almost pissed my pants! Will do. Thanks again... Tim
  7. Not the greatest lighting here...but the rig is navy blue, black, with white piping and lettering. Doh....me and computers freaking hate each other. Where or where does the attachment go when I hit upload????
  8. Another shout goes out to the fine people at Mirage. Ward was there to answer any questions at any time throughout the process of me obtaining my very own G4 and he even had it to me a week earlier than expected, ensuring I received it on a Friday to jump that weekend. I couldn't be happier. Simply outstanding! What a beautiful rig...and oh, so comfortable! Nice to have something fit just for me. Thanks, Ward! Tim
  9. Thanks, much....nice to know I don't have to wait for a pack job any more!
  10. With as much practice as I got today and the day prior....hopefully, pretty good...I think...maybe
  11. Jumped my first pack job today....the most unnerving jump I've had as of yet...prayed a lot on the way down. The canopy was a fairly new Pilot 188....took forever to get the thing in the bag (habit of putting too much weight on it and seeing the folds dissolve quickly). After many tries I finally got it in the bag and the entire rig closed up just to do it again...then jump it. Nice opening, with a little bit of a snivel....and a sigh of relief
